BBBJ = better performance?

I have submitted my first review on TER and noticed one thing: A provider gets a higher score if she performs at least one of several types of services.
BBBJ was named one of them. Personally, I never felt comfortable being with a provider who does not use protection, because if she doesn't use it with me, she probably does not use it at all, and wouldn't that heighten the risk of catching STD?
Maybe it is because I am fairly new to this and the health issue is constantly on my mind.
Am I overreacting?

It is your health and your decision. Nothing outside of abstinence is without risk.  We all have to decide how much risk we are willing to accept for ourselves.  If BBBJ makes you uncomfortable then getting one would not appear to equal better performance for you.

In TER's rating system it is one of the criteria for awarding a higher score but that does not mean that a provider who offers BBBJ will not do it with a cover if that is your preference.

and other times they overlook it.

Recently I had a review taken from the performance rating of 9 to an 8 because there was no BBBJ.  In the body of the review, I mention that I had awarded a 9.  Things just got so fast, so hot, we skipped BJ and went right at it.

In my mind, "Forgot it was a service" rating encompasses much more than checking off boxes, but I don't make the rules.  I do accept the rules, and that's why I now make mention, as do many others, of the rating I gave the lady in case the TER reviewer makes an adjustment.

Many other reviewers also make up their own sub-categories and award number scores.  This gives VIPs a much better idea of the entire experience.  I wholeheartedly support this, and will try and incorporate it into my own future reviews.

Also... I recall reading somewhere, a long time ago, that in order to get a 10 score on performance, the provider had to engage in greek.  There are lots of reviews with 10's and no mention of a trip down there in the review details.

Quoted from TER review policy.

"In order to keep our performance ratings consistent, we set up the following system: An escort provider is only eligible to earn up to a 7, unless she is willing to perform one or some of the following during a session: Kisses With Tongue, Bare-Back Blow Job, Really Bi, and Anal Sex. For each of these services that are offered, her potential max score is raised by one point, with 10 as an absolute maximum."

As you can see, there are four services that will allow you to award points above a seven. Any three of them would account for a rating of 10.

I just did a simple search for all reviews with a min & max performance score of 10.  This is the very first one which appears (link below)

Provider did "Kisses With Tongue and Bare-Back Blow Job"...

But did not do either "Really Bi or Anal Sex"

So in theory the TER guy/gal should have knocked it down to a 9, but did not.

If I made a mistake saying that anal is a requirement for a 10, everone, please accept my apologies.

Dude, I posted the TER policy, I didn't make it up.  I have better things to do than undertake a research project for you.  If you have written a review that you feel was unjustly altered by TER than I suggest you talk to them about it and use their own policy as your ammunition.  If you have seen a review that you feel is unjust you should fill out a problem report. I have done it many times with positive results.

There is a system in place. It is not perfect but it works pretty darn well.

I think if you read it says that she must be willing to or offer, does not have to mean that she did those specific acts.

Exactly.  If she offers BBBJ but you prefer covered you can still award a point score based on her willingness to offer.  Even if you skip th BJ entirely you can still award points based on what was available.

Yes, BBBJ is higher risk than CBJ, but it is nowhere near as risky as BBFS.

You can look at it like this...

Abstinence = zero risk
All activities covered = very low risk
BBBJ and CFS = Moderate risk
All activities uncovered = high risk

What it comes down to is the level of risk you feel comfortable accepting. My preference is for BBBJ. I can't stand latex in my mouth, and to me it would feel like a chef who made his guests put a cover over their tongue before enjoying a fine meal he has prepared for them. It just diminishes the experience. I am comfortable with accepting the increased risk that BBBJ represents, so that is the choice I made.

If you aren't comfortable with taking that risk, by all means, ask the lady to use a condom. I see gents who ask me to use a cover, and I am very happy to comply. It is really all about you after all.

PS. After 2.5 years of escorting, and several tests, I have never had a single problem. That doesn't rule out the potential of contracting something down the line, but after 2.5 years without a single incident, it is pretty safe to say that BBBJ is relatively low risk.

If you make it clear in your review that she was willing to do BBBJ, or any menu item, but that you weren't interested - she still is allowed the higher score.  For instance, I don't do greek so 10's always get kicked to 9s.  BBBJ and FS is on my menu but some gents stick with one or the other - as long as they say "she asked (or was willing) do FS but I was enjoying BBBJ so much I asked for another cup of oral and passed on the FS"  - she can still get the 9.

IMHO the rating system should be called Potential Performance but then again to long a title. To me, Performance is really how I was treated while in her company. If a provider will do anything and everything - a 10 rating - and has a lousy attitude- is rude and crude rushed-answers phones during a session etc then the performance should get a 2-4. If that kind of performance was a "5" being average, noone would visit anyone without the very highest ratings. Taking one for the team is like flipping a coin.

Thanks to all of you for taking your time to response. I have a clearer picture now :)
