reasons to be concerned?

I would like to schedule with a very highly reviewed provider who has not had a review in  4 months or so. Her website is also down and has been for a while, but she still has ads up.   Are these signs of anything?  Is it anything to be concerned about?

4 months without a new review can be normal for a highly reviewed provider. If she is very popular she may not be seeing all that many new clients as her regulars keep her busy and so she gets no new reviews. Also she may have taken a mini break for personal reasons. A gap by itself does not mean too much. Her web site being down may mean she is redoing it or switching to another site. If she still has ads up she is still active as long as the ads are changing and from a site you trust. Some sites rip off provider ads and post them as their own. Your ok to use caution, but 4 months is not a big gap. If you have VIP PM some of her reviewers for info you might get a hold of one of her regulars who also has VIP and find out all you need to know.

If this is your first time, you should pass if anything is out the ordinary.  Her website being down could be because she's having it updated/revised, but it's a yellow flag.  As for the lack of reviews over a four month period, that could be because she sees mostly repeat and regular clientele that have already reviewed her.  If the four month gap seems out of the ordinary depending on her review history (check to see if there are similar going back over the past year or two), that might also be considered a yellow flag.

All things considered...as an experienced hobbyist, I would make contact with her, and see what response I get.  To a newbie, I would recommend seeing someone else who does not cause you to be concerned.  Get some experience under your belt before dealing with any questionable situations in this hobby!

after a long gap, my main concern is whether she has changed somehow from the girl who got all the good reviews. Perhaps she had a baby and put on weight, got mixed up with drugs or an abusive man, etc. However, it would usually take longer than four months for me to begin to wonder about anything like that.

Is the unnamed concern here that she got busted and is now working with LE? I don't see it. That happens so rarely that it should never be a concern for a well-reviewed provider, unless you know of some sign that points to the possibility. (Or if you happen to be in an area where it's not so rare.) A four-month gap in reviews isn't a sign of that.

Specifically, the LE thing is what I was questioning.  Vegas is the city.    Thanks for the help.

Well for a busy location such as Vegas you have lots of selection, so if you are concerned see someone else and come back to her. Also when you said well reviewed, how well reviewed? Several pages of reviews over several years? If that is the case you may notice similar gaps over all that time which I would expect as normal. If it's a relatively new provider with a bunch of reviews in a relatively short time then the gap it could be a caution sign. Also have you gone to the Vegas regional board and searched around? Search at least as far back as the gap, if anything major happened someone might have mentioned it. There is a lot of research you can do yourself if you really want to see the lady. The best thing is to check out all her reviews and all her reviewers history. If you do not want to do that much research then move on to someone else who does not raise any concerns on your part.
