I recently contacted a agency with good reviews. I don't have any references from other providers so they asked for my information which I understand put when they asked be to send them a picture of my ID license/ state ID I got worried. Why? What do they do with my license? Should I be worried about identity theft . When I asked if I could black out the important info they responded that they need to see my name, DOB, and license #
Because you don't have any references from other providers, they need information to screen you. Whether it's an agency or an independent lady, if they are reputable, they are going to ask for specific information for that purpose. Many list what information they require from a client in order to accept an appointment on their website.
I know I would not give a photo of my license under any circumstance. That is outside of my comfort zone. I opted to help myself by joining a verification site, P411. They require personal information to screen you, either real life info or the use of two whom you have seen and can vouch for you. That has helped a great deal in meeting screening requirements.
The question you have to ask yourself is just how much information you are willing to share in order to be screened. Some ladies have options and will work with someone who is new to screen you, but you will have to share information with them. There is no way around it. Just make sure you review their requirements and determine if you are comfortable with giving them that data before you contact them. No sense in wasting their time if you're uncomfortable with meeting their requirements.
Everyone's different, just my 2 cents having been hobbyist for 15 years: do NOT provide your ID. Yes, you should be worried about identity theft, no explanation needed.
True, agencies require verification for screening purposes, if you have no prior references Govt issued ID/drivers license is standard operating procedure. If you refuse to provide, normally you won't be booked.
Protect yourself, protect your identity. You will have more difficulty booking an appointment due to this, but there are other ways of satisfying the screening process. Independent providers especially May provide more wiggle room, but there's no easy answer unfortunately. Just don't give your ID to an escort agency
They can check with my P411 OKs All the contact info is there Those are the ladies who will be my references if I send as email. Actually most see many OKs and often do not open profile.
So, what's the hangup here? The comment I was responding to mentioned how, despite being P411 verified, there are providers who won't book you without 2 provider references. You're saying those references are on your P411 profile?
If after the appointment/session went well and you followed the "rules" and weren't a problem to the lady you can request an OK. It's somewhat similar to a Whitelist here.
Other ladies can view your profile when you contact them and see who has given you an OK and the date. The more OKs you have, the easier it becomes to meet a lady. Keep in mind, you can lose your account if you become a problem.
Some ladies will state they are newbie friendly, others require a certain number of OKs.. Even then, some will still want additional information about you. That's a lady's prerogative.
So, I'm still lost on what I'm hearing: I'm hearing P411 "ok's" are providers vouching for clients, and despite Client X being P411 verified, the provider is asking for 2 provider references? So, P411 "ok's" are similar to references but not the same? What is the value of an "ok" if you're asked to provide additional "references?"
Sure it's potentially dangerous, I just don't understand why after having been screened and verified by the supposedly trustworthy P411 I have to be screened yet again by a provider.
If a provider won't meet with me then how am I supposed to get references? Even the supposedly newbie-friendly providers want references.
Yes, provider safety should be a priority. Some ladies request more info than others. If a certain lady you would like to see wants more info than you are willing to give, then move on to plan B.
To answer your question, I would not give out my DL information.
