I've been an independent provider for a few years now....but
I'm completely new to the hobby via the internet.
Any info/advice from providers and hobbyists alike would be great, especially about how to phrase services offered in a discrete manner.(website is in the works)

In a nut shell, I would peruse provider sites of providers you admire, or are successful, and emulate the verbiage in their ads. (Not plagiarism). If you look at enough ads of top providers, you will get a feel for "the Hobby language". NEVER get too graphic with the language, and I recommend blurring your face on your site. Eros Guide is another choice for checking out others marketing tricks .

As for pics on your site, I recommend a "dressy pic", a "slutty pic", a "lingerie pic" (sexy, or slutty), and an outdoor pic (preferably bathing suit). Have a decent photographer take the pics, and DON'T have "Flash", or music/sound on your site.

It is always nice on your web sight to see if the provider offers GFE or not.  (Please read acronyms link at top of page)  If you do you'll invariably get a little more $ for your efforts, or have as some do split pricing w or w/o GFE. It seems some of older 40-60 gents may appreciate GFE on our "excursion" than some of the younger gents.  This is my opinion only!!!!!

Read an post comments on your regional board to attract interest in yourself.

Definitely no flash/music! I can't stand the stuff, takes forever to load a page and looks really juvenille.

I think flash uses ActiveX? Some people have software that has a popup box that asks if you want to run the ActiveX item. I usually say no. ActiveX is another way of delivering viruses, trojans, and worms to your computer.

If your entire site is ActiveX based then I wouldn't be able to see a single thing, if you just have a small ActiveX item then I can see everything but that small item.

My best advice to you is to carefully look at other provider's sites, there are some very good examples from the provider posters here!  You will find many good ways to express your message, emulate them!!!

Rare-escort is a popular, free option for gals new to the web, however their list approach to services is dangerous, and contains a good deal of mis-information.  If you provide GFE, say so!  If you provide PSE, say so!  Any more details can be problematic.

Listing what you "do" may also be tantamount to an admission of illegal activity.

Once you are reviewed, prospective clients may get an idea of how an appointment might unfold.

Some clients may be turned off by overt language as well (of course some will feel the opposite, as many men above have stated their preference for sites alluding to specifics). I guess it all depends on how you would like to portray yourself and the type of clientel you wish to attract.

Not a value judgment - everyone chooses how they want to conduct themselves and their business. Just wanted to give you another option.
