I posted something a couple days ago on ATL discussion and it never showed.  What am I doing wrong?

If you are new, then you are probably 'moderated' which means the Mod has to look at and approve your post before it shows up. Normally that takes up to 24 hours. I assume you are talking about the Atl. Regional Board, Dingus15 is the Mod there, send him a pm and ask him. He is a cool dude, busy, but he will get back to you.

So be patient. After you get a history of posting, Dingus is pretty good about unmoderating folks.

Thanks for the feedback and assist Fuzzy.  I will post the question on a few of your boards.  Actually chimed in on your philly board about a rock star that is coming up that way.

This was years ago (2000 or 2001).  I wasn't aware of the boards being generally moderated at the time, so I just assumed posts were delayed for everybody.  One day, I was shocked to see a message that a post I just submitted was immediately set active.  I didn't know what to make of it, and never bothered to contact anyone at TER about it.  I discovered the moderation process later on, through correspondence on the boards and from other TER members.

It was nice to have Jazz check my work to be sure I didn't make any mistake but I know he still keeps an eye on us anyway. Thanks Jazz!

Wow. I don't know what I did right or wrong, but my messages have been insta-cleared since nearly the beginning. Hopefully I've earned the trust I was given so early on. I'm no troll!

No such luck for me. I've even had trouble getting moderated posts up. I was 0/3 in one week, still don't know why since I'm not in the habit of making inane or inappropriate posts. Definitely don't have that problem on this board (thanks Jazz), but many of my posts are too old to matter by the time they get up. The latter really makes me think thrice about whether or not I should even reply to any given post.

Oh well. Just hoping for the stars to align one day and to be free of the shackles of time delays.
