Re: legal stuff

I often see on posts on Craigslist a statement saying something like this:  "Any money exchanged is for companionship services only! Anything else that may occur is a matter of choice between two consenting adults of legal age and is not contracted for, nor is it requested to be contracted for in any matter. This is not an offer of prostitution. Calling me constitutes acceptance of these terms"

Does this statement make everything legit?  Would it stand up in a court of law should LE make an arrest?

The answer is no. It doesn't protect the provider whatsoever and provides no sort of legal screen.

"I would like some money, but let me be clear that I am not saying I am robbing you.  Only that if I don't get some money, something bad might happen, although I have no way of knowing what, I just thought you might like to know that.  Any funds that are exchanged are just a gift from you to me."

I don't see an acquittal here when that goes to a jury.

the word "handling" in the subject line should have said "handing".

Sorry, it's been a long day and all the characters on the screen are starting to look like little ants.

This disclaimer wouldn't hold an ounce of water with LE or in court.  $ in exchange for sex is not legal in most places in the USA, and disclaimers will not change that.  Probably gives LE and prosecutors a few laughs, however... :(
