If more than an hour has gone by, I absolutely do not return a phone call unless the VM specifically says I can call back at any time. The last thing I want to do is call back at an awkward time.

Try emailing her. Alot of ladies prefer that their initial contact be through email. Its hard to get screening info through a phone call.

Hi all, I have not yet seen a provider, but did a bit of research and found an independent that is well reviewed.  I've called twice so far, from an unblocked phone and left a voicemail each time.  In the voicemail I give my name and phone number, and politely request a call back.  I have not yet gotten a return call.

Should I be giving more info in my message?  Say that I'd like to make an appointment?  Should I not call again as this could be a bad sign?  I don't want to simply keep calling and seem like a pest.  I'm guessing I'll try once more, but I'd like some input on what message I should leave.  Thanks.

I've only seen 3 providers, but one of the first things I've figured out is patience. How much time in-between phone calls?

I would never burn up a providers phone. Is there another way of contacting the provider? Can you email or text?
Is she newbie friendly? Keep in mind she has no idea who you are. I email my TER handle to any prospective provider first so that can at least have a glimpse that I'm real, and engaged in the hobby.

I've had providers take up to a week to respond to an email, which is fine. it's not like they have a desk job and IM people all day :o)

I'm sure  those with more experience will answer, but I've found that BP are quick to answer and schedule, and won't waste time unless your ready to go. The more experienced and refined will respond politely to polite emails and text. Just as the session should be unrushed, so should the contact.

but hey, that's just me.

There could be any number of reasons why she has not answered your calls. She may be sick, or taking time off to attend to personal matters, or whatever. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Find another well-reviewed provider and call her instead.

If you still want to see #1, try her again in a few weeks.

Just my advice.

regarding (1) when you were hoping to see her and for how long and (2) when is it OK to return the call.  Many providers will not call back unless you said something like "I can be reached up to 5 pm today at 555-123-4567."  Most ladies understand the need for descretion.

I would fully agree... The more information you can give them about when, how long, whether or not you are referrable all can help.  And definitely be more specific about a call back time as noted.

then if you still don't hear anything... Move on.
