from a Law Enforcement standpoint, an independent provider is preferable.  LE is much more interested in escort agencies (escort rings in LE thinking).  Busting an escort ring is more politically "sexy."  In addition, the  independent provider-john interaction usually involves only misdeameanor charges, whereas an escort ring can involve felony charges (e.g. racketeering, interstate transportation, keeping a bawdy house, etc.)  Furthermore, by using an agency, a hobbyist is exposed to the weakest link in the escort agency.  If one lady is busted for drugs, underage, etc.  all customers of the agency can be involved.

I prefer agency for last minute appointments.  Prefer INdi if I plan ahead.

This will most likely lead to an encounter you will enjoy.  Realize that LE is not likely to be an issue if the ladies on your to-do list are established and reputable here...just exercise due diligence, and be cautious when you get there.   Even if there are LE in the general vicinity, they are probably there for some other reason.  In the unlikely and unlucky event that you have a run-in, be cool.

I have never and will never book with an agency. That decision has saved me from big problems in my area.

LE will also do John stings for media coverage and political purposes. Current political climate has the stings set with young providers as bait; it's the child trafficking hysteria.

Do not call on ads where you cannot verify the lady with other sources. A shitload of great providers are on BackPage who are not on TER; but you can verify that they are a provider through searching other sources.

The main rule is don't talk about sex; don't use code words either; AND... dont talk about money. BTW "talk: means e-mail text etc.

Only talk about appointment time, and how much time you are interested in. If she asks a bunch of specific questions, ABORT!

Or you can follow the advice of the guys who stay stick with the sure thing. Frankly, I and other hobbiest don't, but I don't recommend that until you have a few years of experience or you have serious street savvy. Which, BTW, nost hobbiest I meet don't because they are just regular guys.
