Verifying employment is a way to verify who you are, there is other info. they can ask of you to accomplish that, there are many hobbyists without a job. Just be upfront with your situation and provide whatever additional info. is requested to reach their comfort level.

I am kind of in the same boat, except I quit, but if you have enough money saved up then getting an occasional visit should not hurt his pockets to badly. If the customer in question is not expecting to have a job soon(within 4 weeks) and does not have another form of income, then I think the hobby should take a back seat. It is strange that he asks the same question I did.
Hoboken if you find the answer let me know. I am a newbie(0 providers), so you can't take this as a fact, but if the lady in question has good reviews you could offer to pay in advance. I think it is risky, so it would depend on how bad you need some "company".

In all fairness, some jobs give decent severance package.  When I lost my job in the early 90's, I received 6 ,omth severance pay.  Depressed, I spent money in the strip club like is was no tommorrow.  Smart, hell no but I needed that comfront
