Most referral/verification sites ask for a job number but my jobs HR department never picks up a phone. They have an employment verification number
but I believe that you need some rather personal info (ss# and such) to access it. Any ideas? Anyone know of any reviewed providers that will accept new clients without referrals? I haven't received a reply from p411 and don't want to spend more money on date check without knowing how this'll work out.

I believe that P411 or date-check are only calling the main company number then asking to be transferred to you. I dont think they would want to deal with the HR department either.
It was very straight forward when I joined.

The only way for someone to page me would be through the intercom. That may be a little troubling since it is supposed to be for official use only.I really don't know of a good way someone could reach me personal at work aside from my cell. Guess I'll have to ask the boss about possible emergency contacts or something. Thanks and happy hobbying.

You can probably expalain the employment situation and they can call and make up some bullshit excuse why they have to verify employment without actually asking for your.  For example, you applied for a new home loan or something like that and they need to verify your employment. After all, that's all they are doing anyway - they don't really need to talk to you.
