They weren't e-cards. I purchased them in their respective stores. I no longer have them so I'm not sure how many numbers they contained.
I can't help but think that there is no industry standard amongst vendors when it comes to their gift card numbering as opposed to Visa and MasterCard who require 16 digits, so they must vary. I suspect that the issue is at your end but I have no idea what it could be.
wanted to become VIP member here and see that one can make payment by Gift cards. However, the gift cards that I saw at Walmart/Target had 16 digits whereas TER wants cards with 15 digits.

The service is handled by paygarden.com. They have an FAQ. Which gift card should I buy to make sure it works with PayGarden? Why is PayGarden not accepting my gift card? Do you accept "e-gift cards"? Etc.
When you decide to pay, you must link via TER for the payment to be properly credited to TER and your TER account

That is true, but they also note a bunch of brands that will work with their system, while at the same time stating that Best Buy and Target -gift Cards work best.
Further, many people have stated that they've used store cards such as Starbucks to pay for VIP and I was wondering if that is still the case now (things change too fast in these things
There was a recent thread (August) on paying by gift card and I posted paygarden info. As I recall, their website was having a glitch and the guy's card went thru when he tried a few hours (or days?) later.
The redemption value of gift cards is somewhat volatile. There are websites that try to rank current values (google it). I mean, if everyone is trying to unload their Omaha Steaks GC but nobody is buying Omaha Steaks GC, the redemption companies are going to pay less (per dollar) because they have to try to re-sell the card at a deeper discount.

Unfortunately it looks like your attempt to purchase VIP membership has failed due to your card being declined. Good news is that we have several other payment options that you could try.
