For example, I saw one who offered 350 for an hour, 550 for 90 minutes, 650 for 2 hours. And there are lots of these; 300/hr, 500 hour & half, 600 2 hrs. I just wonder if they are trying to influence behavior or just bad at math?

You are assuming that percentages of an hour should be equal to a percentage of the hourly rate. In reality that is seldom the case and every lady has her preferences. For the most part providers want to book in one hour increments . A 90 minute appointment effects their scheduling in pretty much the same way that a two hour appointment does so their approach is to give you an incentive to just go ahead and book the full two hours.

Yes, they are trying to influence your behavior.

in most commercial trade endeavors there are volume discounts. Buy 2, get one free; buy one entree at full price, get a second at 1/2 price, etc. The rates I was referring to sort of constitute a 'volume surcharge', & it struck me as curious. The ladies have to get ready for a date; I expect they do as much prep for a 1-hour as for a 90 minute or 2-hour. So I really don't get it when I see it. Maybe it's schedulibg, but it seems to me that if you had. 2:00 90 minute session, you could schedule another session at 4:00; probably couldn't if you had a 2:00 2 hour session. I like 1 1/2 hour. sessions as I hate feeling rushed, & at my advanced age don't usually have enough in the tank for a full 2 hours. I've done a couple of 2 hour sessions where I've essentially just chatted for the last 20-25 minutes; not unpleasant, but expensive chat time.

300 for 1hr 400 for 90 min and 600 for 2 hrs doesn't make a lick of sense, but I have seen rates like that posted  on many a providers site.

This won't be accepted by most providers, but although many women choose this profession because they like it, or because it opens up other opportunities. Some women enter this profession as a stepping stone, and alas some women enter this profession because they have no other skills and aren't smart enough to learn them.

Let the flaming begin, but we all know I speak the truth.

The lady is showing her preference in sessions, giving a break to the gents for staying longer, and yes - trying to influence booking behavior.

Is that true though??  Do providers really want to discourage 90 minute appts because it screws up the cosmic alignment of appts "on the hour"??  I prefer longer appts but sometimes I just don't have time for 2 hours so I go for 90 minutes quite a bit...does that mean I'm being a pain in the ass???

If the provider offers 90 minutes on her donation schedule then I don't think it's bad.  If she didn't want 90 minute appointments then she would only show rates in one hour increments.  I have never requested a 90 minute date on someone that didn't offer it, but even if I did, she could just say no.

Ninety minutes usually allows time for my large soaking tub or a bit of bodywork (which I loooove to do!), two hours ensure time for all of it without  playtime feeling rushed.  I don't discourage 90-minutes but I don't discount that either.  I consider the 90 to be my equivalent of "an hour."  Two hours I discount.

Every lady will be different about this.  If she doesn't like 90's she shouldn't offer them.  Don't worry about it.

$300 1 hour
$700 2 hours

I may have failed English class, but I was pretty damn good at math ;-)

QED

... that ladies who charge a higher hourly rate for the second hour are also trying to influence behavior by motivating clients to book only an hour.

I understand both charging less for the second hour (prefers longer sessions) and charging more for the second hour (prefers shorter sessions). The one I haven't quite grokked is when the charge is the same. That doesn't translate into a preference for me.

that it goes either way.

It all depends on the lady... For instance, if a lady is new and has YET to book an appt longer than two hours, that's all you see. Some ladies only EXPECT to do short appts, and you'll notice that as well.
On the other hand, most ladies who offer 4+ hour/dinner rates are trying to influence a 'minimum time/minimum $ per client' aspect. Until I had offers to travel I had no reason to think about what I would charge for specific situations.

In short, if you look at a ladies rate structure, and there's only one rate that makes sense, that's the one she's trying to gear you toward.

For every date the lady will screen you, get "dolled-up" (hair, nails, etc.) for the date, etc.  Now, if you spend 90 minutes, 2 hours, etc. with her, the preparations do not increase so they factor this into the rate somewhat.

For an hour date I never draw the soaking tub, which means I also do not have to sanitize it later.  The longer the date the more snack and beverage options I have on hand.  If it's a long date I may have extra toys and supplies on hand over the shorter date.

But yes, the longer dates do not require more personal time or extra screening, so I factor that in.

What I don't believe has been mentioned yet is that some ladies find the longer dates to be emotionally taxing and prefer not to do them.  *I* love the emotional investment in my encounters.  Some ladies do cater to pure play time and that can be very difficult on several levels when doing an extended session (wear and tear on the body, having to be "on" for the entire time, etc.)

Bottom line is that a lady will set her rates based on what works best for her, it's a little silly for you fellows to spend so much time thinking about it.  If it works for you, great!  If not, keep searching... your match is out there.
