If you have a special outfit request and she has to purchase the outfit, an offer to compensate the provider for the purchase price of that outfit is common and gentlemanly.

Don't be an ass and think it's ok for you to make her buy something and not compensate her because she might have to purchase it eventually.

What is normally in a provider's closet, in the way of outfits?  Just so my requests do not mean they have to purchase a new outfit, just for me!  And if they do, it's something they would probably end up getting eventually.

If a woman is traveling she is going to have a limited selection available.  Even if she is local the best way to approach a special wardrobe request is to bring the lady the outfit as a gift.  The outfit should be new and unopened of course.

For a one shot appointment I don't know of too many women who would go out and buy a new outfit just for you.

This is exactly why I asked what was pretty "standard" for a provider to have.  I realize there may be the provider with only one set of lingerie in her closet and nothing else as well as the provider with 20 years of outfits that can be ready for any request.  

I wanted to request something, but wanted to be relatively sure she had it in her closet since I would add the qualifier "but do not go out and buy it, if you do not have it." on the request.

The idea is to get a list of "standard" outfit requests, since many (but not all) of the providers may have those outfits in the closet.

That is a reasonable question for a newbie.  

Many of the ladies have decent wardrobes.  The standard fare is the schoolgirl, stripper look, bra and panties combo, thigh highs...and on and on.

You need to ask a lady if there is something specific that you are seeking.  And if she doesn't have it, and it is something you really want to see her in, be prepared to buy it for her.  

Also, if there is a "role play" scene with this particular wardrobe request, don't be afraid to discuss with the lady.  Many gals are very good with this, but if they don't know what you are seeking, they are not particularly good at "reading your mind".

Don't feel that if you request something and she doesn't have it and you want to pass that she will be offended.  This is about YOU..just thank her for her time and move on to one that will fulfill your desires.

These will vary with the type of clientele a girl sees.  I tend to attract the gents who request Sexy Secretary, matching bra/thong/garter/stocking sets and dinner/cocktail dress outfits (because we're going somewhere that requires that sort of attire). I have a rather extensive collection of various styles of lingerie and a few costumes, but most often it's the business attire with what I'd consider "classic" naughty things underneath. It's almost too bad because I have some great trashy "stripper" looks that very rarely get worn.  *pout*  

I do happen to love playing dress up and often inquire if the gent has a preference.  The few times I've received a request for something that I didn't already own (elbow length leather gloves, a particular style of leather boot, latex catsuit, a particular dress), the gent always has offered to purchase it for me or reimburse me if I bought it.  I do think that a request should be phrased in such a way that she knows you will either reimburse her if she does buy it, or that it's not a big enough deal to you that she go through that effort (which tells her you won't be reimbursing her for it).  There should be clear communication so you both have the same expectations.

Many of the gals that I saw last year (in particular during the summer) my request was for a summer dress.  I thoroughly enjoyed opening the door up to see a lovely young lady dressed for summer, showing off just enough for my imagination to take off.

I can only imagine how you would look in that attire...and I'm sure the word "stunning" would be one of those words!

Most men are not great at guessing a lady's size/measurements, and even when she lists them on her site different brands will run small or large or be cut in a certain way that makes her normal size  inaccurate.  If a gent wants to pay for a certain outfit, he could price it and then forward her a gift card for the amount so she can go purchase the correct size; or maybe buy it himself and mail it ahead of time with a gift receipt so if it doesn't fit, she can exchange it in time for the date.

Simple, respectful communication will resolve usually resolve most any issue.

and let her try the outfits on for you.  I have done that with a fave of mine and thoroughly enjoyed the shopping trip.  This wouldn't apply to the OP (assuming he is seeing the lady for the first time), unless he is looking for a long dinner date where going shopping would be a part of the date.

That would take the guesswork completely out of the equation...and make for a really enjoyable afternoon/evening.

If I knew my accountant was spending my money this way I'd be a lot happier about paying my bill!

Good point but I can't imagine a situation where the lady is going to give a customer her real name and mailing address.  I know a few gals who have Amazon wish lists under their provider identities. Something like that may work...
