Seeking feedback from providers and fellow hobbyists on how to improve my hobby experiences!

I am a relative newbie in the hobby. Since November of 2009 I have had four appointments(gifts have ranged from 150 to 220) with varying degrees of success.  The good news is each date has come to a successful conclusion so I have certainly not been ripped off.  I have stuck with providers with profiles on P411 because I've read in numerous places that this was a good policy when learning about the hobby.

In general, I have found the  pictures on the provider websites to be, in general, more attractive than the lady that answers the door. Also, when I compare my overall rating (combination of overall looks and overall performance) to reviews posted by other hobbyists of the same provider there was a significant divergence of opinion.  It seems to me that the vast majority of reviews are not objective. Maybe reviewers are less than frank because the providers could pretty easily figure out the hobbyist writing the review? I've tried to be brutally honest in my evaluation of my dates up to this point so that I would get constructive feedback. Do I just need to up the amount of my gift to get an appointment with some model material with unbridled enthusiasm? Am I just not being realistic? Should I branch out from P411 to agencies?

Appointment number 1:  

She has multiple reviews on TER. recent reviewers rated her looks anywhere from attractive (7) to model material(9).  Her ratings for performance started at a hot time(7) up to forgot it was a service(9). My rating for looks was between 5(plain) and 6(nice). My rating for performance would be between a 5 (average) and a 6(nice time).

Pros-- intelligent.  Superb body for a 40-year-old.  Good conversationalist and put me at ease immediately. Skillful and delivered anything on the menu that I wanted. Did not rush me out the door.  Most of all she was a super nice gal.

Cons-- a little homely in the face and crooked teeth.  Her in call was cold and exceedingly sparse. Basically just a bed. No music. She was accommodating but not enthusiastic. For instance, when I popped about 30 minutes into the appointment I would have really enjoyed her being creative and taking charge of getting me back to the ready to rock position.

Appointment number 2:  

She does not have any reviews on TER that could find.  Reviewers on now defunct site gave her high marks.  I would rate her physical attractiveness as plain (5).  My rating for performance would be a 5 (average) at best. She is the only provider I've seen late at night.  The appointment time was around midnight.  In hindsight setting an appointment this late at night was a mistake that I probably won't repeat.

Pros-- she delivered the goods in the strictest definition.

Cons-- probably my worst experience of my four encounters. Had to wait around in the parking lot of the hotel for 45 minutes before she gave me the green light. When she answered the door  the best description I could give of her was that she looked as though she had been ridden hard and put to bed wet. I don't think I could've matched her up with one of her website pictures on a bet.  Her hotel room was an absolute mess with crap strewn everywhere. Normally, I enjoy giving the lady a nice foot rub and all over massage for the first 10 or 15 minutes to both put them and myself at ease and get to know them a little better. I think in the nomenclature of the hobby I'm into body worship. I like to hold on to my nut as deep into the appointment as possible because it keeps my feeling of the sexual anticipation at a peak. In this case I just covered it up, got off, and was out of there in 20 minutes.

Appointment number 3:  

She has 3 reviews on TER. Reviewers rated her looks anywhere from attractive (8) to model material(9).  Her ratings for performance started at a hot time(6) up to went the extra mile(8). My rating for looks was 7(attractive). My rating for performance would be 8(went the extra mile).

Pros-- my best appointment hands down. Very sexy.  Had a great time giving her a full body massage and DATY for the first 30 minutes. Her incall hotel room was perfectly adequate.

Cons-- her physical attractiveness was not what I would describe as "model material" as in her reviews. I could not describe this encounter as GFE. I don't recall any of my girlfriends over the years distractedly calling me "baby" repeatedly because they couldn't remember my name. Her personality was a little prickly so I kind of had to watch what I said.

Appointment number 4:  

Her reviews on TER rated her looks anywhere from attractive to model material. I would rate her several notches below attractive. For one thing her pictures look great but the real thing weighs a lot more. Almost left when she opened the door but, as usual, I was thinking below the belt.

Pros-- had a better time than in appointment number two but only marginally so.

Cons-- crappy in call that was in the same apartment complex as appointment number one. She was pretty bored with the whole thing. Homely face and 30 lbs overweight.

$150-$220 barely covers a crack Ho in many cities. You sound very disappointed in the looks of your dates. You might want to go up to the $300 pricepoint for better looks !

Newbies need to be mindful that the 1-10 scale normal  guys USUALLY use for rating ladies on the street, or on TV, or in magazines is NOT the exactly the same scale used by TER hobbyists!

I recommend newbies expecting  beautiful providers, drop TWO (2) full appearance ratings points for the actual looks on any normal scale. A TER  "9- model material" is usually closer to a "7- attractive" in the real world man scores.

What happens is many of the guys on sites like this have never fucked anything above a "5" or "6", and also many are so enamored with a great fuck, or BJ that appearance scores get very inflated. You will notice some very average, and some very heavy girls with 8 & 9 scores for appearance. Scale your  provider appearance expectations WAY down, because there are very few "model material" types or "Once in a lifetimes" for less than $500/hr.

Have low expectations & you won't be disappointed.

I'm in Dallas. Appreciate the feedback. My actual experience dovetails perfectly with your premise of the difference between real world man ratings and TER appearance ratings.

I have already decided to start making appointments with the 4$$ to 1$$$+ ladies. I would rather have high quality apperance and performance over quantity.

What I am looking for is a very attractive,sexy intelligent,and educated provider(s)that work in the profession as a sideline to their regular life because they enjoy the excitement of sexual encounters with guys they don't know. The fact that they are handsomely compensated for there time should only be a contributing factor to the ladies decision to work in the profession. Do you think what I have described is out there?

One thing that might be of use is to notice that you can (assuming you are VIP) see the history of the reviewer's performance and appearance ratings by clicking on the reviewer's name in the provider's profile.

If you see a review from someone that seems to give all nines and tens, then you know it is probably a bit unrealistic.

Similarly, if you see an eight from someone that mostly gives sixes and sevens, then you know that really means something.

In my area 200 clams is about minimum & it's creeping up.  You can expect an "attractive" woman for those prices but not a stunning beauty...  & not at top service levels.  There are rare suprises, but that is rare.

TER reviewed Ladies who properly screen & have web sites have been reliable providers in my experience.  

I shop TER FIRST.  Yes, you need VIP.  I check her ads.  I check her web site.  I read the profile & reviews.  

Look at her pictures.  Decide for yourself if she's attractive or not.  Pass on any whose profile does not list accurate photos.  You could even PM a few of her recent reviewers & inquire about photo accuracy.

I look for consistancy in reviews.  I might over look one low score per page of reviews but I read very close to see why they did not click.  Wide swings, gives me the idea they might be moody & I'm not lucky that way.

Cities sometimes go through cycles. At the moment, Dallas has a lot of attractive providers, but few drop-dead gorgeous GFE providers.  

One lady in particular immediately came to find based on your description of what you're looking for:

However, I have never had a session with her and she hides her face in photos so I can't confirm whether the claims guys make about her beauty are accurate.

Price is not the only factor...  providers who have a day job and only provide supplementally can fill their dance card even at higher rates.  Their beauty may be higher or not.  Their performance may be higher or not.  But the scarcity of supply (fewer hours they have available) means they can command a higher price.  This is their business & if it works for them, who are we to question.  
There is a well reviewed lady in my area...  IMHO, a stunning beauty.  Her circumstance is as you describe.  She requires a higher fee...  and if you want to be with her, you pay it.
There are all levels.  You have to find yours.

One of my worst appointments ever was with a provider that was rated 9 and 10 by maybe ten reviewers. I remember that I was pumped as I planned our meeting. When I opened the door to her, I went flat and did not recover. I ended the night traveling to see an unrated traveling provider, who saved the night for me. The touring provider was better looking and hotter in bed. After my bad experience I learned to read all reviews of a lady. I have found that hobbyists tend to over rate on looks. Take a full two points from how a lady's looksd are rated to get the true picture.

No offense, but you don't sound at all like a newbie. With statements like "Normally, I enjoy giving the lady a nice foot rub...for the first 10 or 15 minutes to both put them and myself at ease and get to know them a little better." and "I like to hold on to my nut as deep into the appointment as possible because it keeps my feeling of the sexual anticipation at a peak. In this case I just covered it up, got off, and was out of there in 20 minutes." you sound like you've been around the hobby block a few times. Its kind of hard to develop enough of a routine so that you can say what you normally do and don't do in the midst of what is allegedly only your second hobby experience.

And another point to ponder here is that whether anyone likes to admit it or not (this has been discussed many times) physical appearance DOES influence rate structure. I am in the price range you mention. While other factors influence my rates, I will be the first to tell you that one of the main reasons my rates are on the lower end of the scale is because I am NOT an 8/9 in looks (unless we are talking about a man who is truly a BBW lover, in which case he might consider me to be his ideal of model material). If I had 6 pack abs, you can count on my donation being a little higher than it is.

Based on your statements, it sounds as though your expectations for physical appearance are pickier than others. You asked for feedback, my suggestion is to start looking in a higher price range. A higher rate structure + glowing reviews = you are more likely to find what you are looking for.

I have to echo the remarks made by the other gentlemen on this board.  Most providers who are only charging $150-220 are doing so because they have experienced that's the highest they can charge and still get regular business.  I'm really quite surprised that anyone would expect a Playboy centerfold type at that rate.  I would assume you can afford much higher than that based on your responses, so I would look at ladies in that price bracket.

Keep in mind that just because they demand a higher amount does not necessarily mean their performance will be at that level as well.  I wouldn't be surprised if some perform horribly but retain regulars simply because these men are stunned that a woman of her beauty would even touch him.

Again, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.  Perhaps my 9 or 10 would be another mans 5 or 6 and vice versa.  There is no true commonly accepted criterion on how a woman should be judged for her beauty.  Although I am not an unattractive man, I am very glad that the reviews posted are not as us as clients.  I'm sure our egos would be extinguished if the circumstances were reversed.  I personally take the recommendation of trusted providers who have seen the ladies at parties and events and know whether the pictures are accurate on their websites.

Maybe, but it's rare at best. The money is the main motivator. The bottom line is the bottom line for the most part. That's not a bad thing though..it just is the way it is.

I am not currently providing, but wanted to pop on for a sec and am happy to help out with my feedback in hopes it may help a hobbyist out.

A few ideas:

I agree that you need to up the price range a little bit. There is generally a huge difference between a gal charging 150 and a gal charging 250-300. I'd say the latter should be your goal.

I did see a subsequent post saying you were thinking of going for the 400-1,000/hour gals and hobbying less often- while I do agree with that sentiment (quality over quantity) I disagree that you need to jump up that high. I think that there are negative experiences on either extreme, and also that many of those on the upper echelon (1,000?) are able to charge that because they are actually porn stars, have done actual modeling, things like that. You absolutely can find an extremely attractive woman- for example, height/weight proportionate, honest in her pics and website, performance enthusiastic in the $250-400/hour range- I would advise using 300 as a starting point. I do agree that some women of stunning actual once in a lifetime model beauty can lack in performance because they are able to get that rate solely on their looks. That is why I say the middle of the road, between the two extremes, is where you will find a balance of high quality performance and appearance.

Also, I would advise, when possible, finding a girl with more than 2-3 reviews (and don't see one with none, at least for now, until you are a bit more experienced and/or are willing to "take one for the team," if you know what I mean.)

For now, you need consistency in what it is you use to judge a gal. I would say look in the 300- ish price range, no lower than 250 (though those more familiar with your city could chime in on this), make sure she has consistent reviews (AND look into the reviewers' history- as stated, VIP here is needed, and worth it).

See how the gal handles her bookings- if she doesn't screen you, or uses explicit language in her site or emails/on the phone, be wary. If she doesn't protect her privacy and operate professionally, that means she probably is careless at best, and won't have much concern for you or yours. She should type or speak professionally and she should absolutely ask you for references or workplace information for her safety- these are the marks of a high quality provider.

With a good provider, you should not be able to differentiate whether she has seen five clients before you, or only sees one a week, so it is hard to specify that you want someone who does this on the side, but it is not unreasonable to want someone who enjoys what they do! I would advise on this front, to try getting a hotel room and having an incall- yes this is an extra expense- and yes, a high quality provider will require a decent hotel and not a budget motel- but this gives you a higher likelihood of this type of low volume gal- when I was providing I was also a college student and had a life outside of it, still am/do though I am not currently providing, and thus I rarely had incalls, though occasionally I would book a hotel for a weekend to accommodate clients who prefer incall. Point being though, a provider who prefers hotel outcall is more likely to fit this description imho.

Are you seeking variety, or looking for one or two "ATFs" to see regularly/occasionally? Do you have an age range you prefer, or other requirements that may be limiting your search? Maybe also check the ISO board, and also PM reviewers of a gal you are considering seeing to get the scoop.

Also, maybe, considering these factors, try to find someone who has been around a year or two- early enough not to get jaded, long enough to find their niche and build up accurate reviews, and to be "outed" via reviews and word of mouth as a low quality provider if they consistently fail to meet expectations. You could also ask specifically in your initial email if her pics are recent/accurate, or if she could send a recent one if not (some however will not do this so don't automatically assume she is a bad provider if she will not send pics- it may be all the pics are on her site, as it was in my case, I did not have any other pics to send out individually as my site pics were accurate and recent)

Also not saying it is bad to see a newer gal- I am glad when I was providing that gents were willing to take that chance on me- but since you have had less than ideal experiences, you really need to set some standards here to get what you are seeking for now.

I hope some of this is useful, and that some of the hobbyists in your area are able to give some more input. I think you absolutely can find an attractive, enthusiastic provider in your area in the $300-350 price range, if you go about it right- happy hobbying!!

sin-- no offense taken, BUT what difference does it make if I am a hobby newbie or not? It does not change the relevance of my primary question! Bottom line---I want to screw attractive providers that enjoy sex as much as I do and my 4(okay 5- you got me) hobby encounters have been a disappointment. None of them have been as attractive as described in reviews. I know why the providers make every attempt to enhance their looks but it seems as though the reviewers are complicit in helping the ladies overstate their physical attractiveness.

FYI, I am 50 and have had lots of opportunity to develop a sexual routine that works for me. When I turned 50 last year I decided to try paying for sex on the front end. Believe me when I say it is MUCH less expensive, even at 4$$+, than dating in the real world.

marere4 post above.  She offers some excellent advice.  

As a newbie, you need to concentrate on well-reviewed ladies (minimum of 5 or 6 reviews from established reviewers--same number of reviews over time).  In most parts of the country, you can find very attractive girls in the $300-400 range but not likely under that amount.

Get VIP so you can read the details in the reviews and also PM reviewers if you have any questions.

Physical attractiveness seems to be important to you so shop ladies with web sites that have several pictures from a variety of angles.  Then read the reviews & even PM the last couple of reviewers to ask if the pictures are currant.  You'll be happier because you can judge for yourself what you desire.
It does take effort to shop, check the web sites, read the reviews...  Do not expect anyone to do the work for you.  Even if they did, they would be replacing your standards with their own & that did not work out.

Lot of great advice. Thanks. I really think the idea of providing a nice hotel room is a great idea. As things progress it may be worthwhile to rent a hobby condo.

Ideally, I would like to become a regular with one or two ladies.
