I've never done an overnight.  Recently a provider suggested I try one.  It is way more $ than I can budget, but it did make me curious.  These may be VERY ignorant questions but... I figured I'd ask the experts here.

1. Does "overnight" mean 12 hours?  If we start at 4pm, does it end at 4am? (does the provider leave at 4am, or is it just that the fun stops?)

2.  Does overnight mean there can be fun in the morning too?

3.  Overnight or 12 hours seems like a long time.  Do we take breaks?  Go out for dinner together?  I'm not sure if I could survive 12 hours of fun... nor expect a provider to be "on" for so long without a break.

I'd be interested in hearing the opinions of both hobbyists and providers.

Generally speaking, overnights start at a certain time (7-8pm) and end the next morning (7-8am) with the potential for morning fun available, or a chance to have breakfast together. It is generally *not* a full 12-hour fuckfest, and most gals state on their overnight rates that they'll need a certain amount of sleep. I mean, it's a shame that we have to state that we need at least 6 hours of sleep in order to function, but you learn that lesson once.  

Anyway, overnights are usually an event; when I have them, it's always extended dinner and drinks followed by heading back to the hotel for some fun- hot tub, room service snacks, a movie, sexytime, and sleep. now, some ladies do offer an overnight package where sleep is not a bother, but you'll pay a premium for that.

... I think it's a bad idea to do an overnight with a provider you've never met.  (You didn't say how well you know this provider.).  I've done overnights (and longer dates) only when we both knew each other pretty well and had established strong mutual trust.  

Also, as was noted different providers have different takes on overnights. So it's important to discuss and agree up front how the date will flow:  playtime, food, sleep, sleeping arrangements etc.

I have to offer a counterpoint. I recently was on a week-long business trip and my work responsibilities, for a variety of reasons, end up being pretty sparse. I knew this enough in advance to be able to make plans for some entertainment. (Read: I totally slutted out.)  

I wasn't prolific in seeing providers, but I'd done a few - enough to know that I prefer longer time engagements over shorter term "bump and bounce." I knew I was going to be staying in a very nice hotel suite, so I decided to swing for the fences. I spent weeks researching the local providers, hunting down ads old and new, reading reviews here and elsewhere, cross-referencing pictures and phone numbers, and so on and so on. I also knew that I was looking for atmosphere and presence as much as anything else so I took my time identifying who I was interested in.

I made four outreaches for overnights. I had the budget for all of them (just) so that if by some chance they all came through I could handle it (financially at least.) I didn't double-book anything just for that reason. In my contact with each of them I was completely up front with who I was, where I was from, why I was out there, and what I was looking for (nothing crazy.) I had two OKs elsewhere - that's it. I knew the only way in hell there was a chance in hell somebody would agree was if they felt entirely comfortable with the situation. I reached out about a month before my trip to give time for verification, communication, and trust to build. I figured it was unlikely, but what the hell...

Three of the four agreed. The fourth claimed they would have, but they were going to be out of town. These were all mid- to high-range ladies. Two of them were priced to indicate they preferred longer-term appointments. One was notably higher, but included a greater number of hours. One of them I saw for a full day.

All three went great. They were each very different, and each what I was looking for.  

Yes, any one of them could have gone poorly, but I'm pretty social and easy to get along with one-on-one, and based on what I had read about each of them they all seemed to have a pretty easy going personalities as well, or (in the case of one, based on her blog, a personality and areas of interest that I was pretty sure I could engage with.) I was also pretty confident that with the caliber of lady I was looking at they were going to be fairly easy to get along with, or at least be able to pretend really, really well.

It can be done and it can work. But you have to prep for it, do your research, and make sure the lady is super comfortable in every way possible.

Think of an overnight with a provider like an overnight civie date except you are guaranteed to get MSOG but will be paying a premium for the pleasure.

Some hobbyists will always say "I am not paying for a provider to sleep" and therefore not do overnights. Personally, I haven't done one yet but I have thought about it but have been unable to make the calendar work.

of what is expected based on start time, before or after dinner.  There should be an agreement about need for private moments, sleep requirements, breakfast & next day expectations.  
She/you might want private time...  to use the bathroom or shower.  To call a safety person or check in at home.
Everyone needs sleep...  finding out how much & any special requirements.  Some folks actually can't sleep in the same bed...  think sleep apnea...  or restless legs...  but nice overnights can still happen with planning, or so I'm told.  (In these circumstances, Start in same bed, move to a second bed to sleep...  return for wakeup)  
No, it's not constant sex.  Maybe a quicky before dinner, bedtime romp, wakeup before or after breakfast.  
I think discussing these things will go a long way toward making a memorable overnight.

 
From a guy's perspective...  I think a lady would feel good that you were accepting of reasonable expectations...  by seeking clarification when setting up.  

You might want to have a clear understanding about beverages especially alcohol & pharmaceuticals.  What if she's a recovering alcoholic?  BTW, leave all bottles sealed & open in her presence.

What was the fee for an overnite?  According to your reviews, you had a double with top tier providers that set you back $3,300.  I think 99% of providers would jump at an offer of 3.3K for an overnite.  Even some well-known porn stars.

1) Overnight means you get to sleep with her, take her to dinner, maybe to a movie or show, etc.  

2) Nothing could be finer than to be in her vagina in the morning.  Yes to your question.

3) Be realistic.  It's not a twelve hour marathon...it's an overnight date with a lady you want to be with.   The template is thrice...at the beginning, after you arrive back at your/her place to retire for the evening, and again in the morning before breakfast.  But it may work differently...your best approach on longer dates is to let things play out naturally...most likely, you'll be pleased.
