you can get a throw away credit card at 7-11, wallmart or almost any grocery store. I ve been around a few years but took a couple of years off. I like seeing providers that are careful screeners cause I feel it protects me as well. Even though I have reviews, and whitelist references, some careful providers, want current verificaition. I dont like giving up my personal info to a new provider so P411 was a good compromise.
Take another look at P411 or datecheck using a cash card.
they will want some RL information from you and they will build a user ID from that RL info you provide.
the ID they create is usually JAMES-16-B-1234, where James is your real first name, 16 is your day of birth, B is the 1st letter of your city of birth, and 1234 are the last for digits of an ID you carry in your wallet (Drivers license number). The idea is the provider can ask for ID, and you can show her your DL with with just this information exposed. This assures the provider that you are the person that P411 has verified. In practice I dont think providers ever ask for it......I have my picture in my P411 ID profile so the provider knows what I look like when I arrive, so maybe they would ask for the ID if did not provide that informaiton.
P411 also will verify your place of employment. They will calll your workplace and execute the call according to your instructions. In my case I had them call me and pretended it was an annoying sales call, which I get 10 of a day anyway.
the credit card line item shows up as PRO411 on your statement and it will also be a foreign (canadian) transaction. If you have a suspicious spouse looking at your statements you may be better off using a visa cash card.
I am new to TER, so I read a lot of the newbie stuff, checked a lot of the provider reviews so to limit me asking dumb questions.
I do not feel comfortable with p411, etc., because you need to pay with a credit card etc.
I am comfortable filling out a providers request forms, giving acess to my work website (so you ca see me and what i do) etc..
I email a provider and just asked "How can I go about getting verified (i am new to TER) as I will be in Las Vegas next week."
i have not heard back. How long should I wait before asking the next provider on my list?
thanks,
Many providers have on their website exactly what they will and won't accept for references, and a "screening" form to fill out... possibly by bypassing this & just e-mailing a question that was answered by reading her website, you might have her thinking you're not serious?
contacting P411 and see what options they offer for payment of membership.Ask how it shows up on your credit card statement. You did not say how long ago you contacted the provider if it has been a week or more I would suggest contacting another lady that you are interested in.Majority of ladies have on their ads and/or website their requirements and if they even accept newbie gents. If you are not comfortable with P411 or the other verification sites see if employment verification is sufficient. Good luck on your search!
