i have not post on board before and hope this is okay and allowed.

i am just wondering about not putting a phone number on my website or in my ad.  it seems that a lot of times people that just send me text are harder to screen and ask me a lot of questions i do not like.  but people that email seem a lot nicer.

i thought i had to have a phone number that that would be the best thing but i see where a lot of other girls do not put a number out there.

in fact some ladies are email only, you can also ad on your site/ads that explicit communication is not acceptable (most guys know).
I do recommend though, to talk to the gentleman that you are going to see at least for a few minutes from a private phone (Google voice is great), so you can get a vibe about them once you have  fully screened the person, plus it is a nice touch.

less desirable guys to pester you at all hours of the day and night with, "Are you available now?"  You need time to screen and if you don't screen well, LE will eventually give you a set of silver bracelets.

As Paloma said, email is much preferred by many ladies.

Some give out their numbers to clients only after screening, just to make folinak arrangements. Some don't even do that. I have dated several providers where contact was strictly email right up to the time of the date. You should only do what yiu are comfortable withand if you are not comfortable giving out your number then don't.
Another point is even if you do give out your number, it should be a different number than your regular phone. Get a second phone for this job.

I use a Google Voice number in all my ads and my website. No client of mine has my real phone number. If you are going to have a phone number listed in your ads, use Google Voice.
