Not really a newbie, but this is a newb-type question.  I'm trying to set up an appointment with a lady for later this week.  I already sent her a screening email and she confirmed that she is checking my references.  Her website mentions that her stated rates may fluctuate depending on the city/location of the encounter.  Our date will NOT be taking place in her home city.  I know it's usually taboo to discuss the donation prior to seeing a provider but I really need to know how much $ to bring.  Is it ok to ask her after she has properly screened me?  Should I rely on her to say something about it?  Any input will be appreciated.

Hey man, I would wait until after she screens you.  At that point she knows you're not LEO and should feel comfortable clarifying rates.  Just make sure you reiterate you just need to know how much to bring "for her time".

But, if not, send an email asking if her donation is the same as what is listed on her site for her hometown, and put the ball squarely in her court.

structure for their time on their website. If not, did you find her by way of an ad for a certain city? Did this ad specify rates for that city?

Otherwise, do as others have suggested and wait until after you have been screened.

It's not taboo to discuss the donation prior to meeting. When I first started out, I *always* asked about the donation, because I was paranoid.

What's taboo is:

1). talking about price in conjunction with acts, as in, "How much for full sex?"

and
2). haggling.

Actually, 2 isn't taboo, either, so long as you're a good negotiator. But it is frowned upon, and I wouldn't recommend it.

...her rates will probably be higher than in her home city.

How did you find out she will be in the visiting city?  If it's an ad on a local ad board, she should have put her visiting rates in the ad.
