If you've never had an escort before, how do you get a reference from a provider? A lot of providers are asking for references but how do you give them any if this is your first time?

I was in this position not too long ago.

First of all, look at the provider's site and see what she requires.  Some do not req ref's. I would select 2-3 well reviewed providers to screen you via email.  Email them, explain who you are and your situation and be specific as to when you want to see the person.

You have to compensate for a lack of ref's by providing all the personal info she requests either via her site or via email.  Send photo and respond quickly to questions.  Do what you can to make her feel comfortable with you. If she is a well reviewed person, she will be discrete so don't worry about providing info.

Exp'd people understand the newbie dilemma and would be more than happy to put a good guy on their client list.  It's called "business development".

We are just making sure you aren't LE and will treat us with respect. I am fairly new as a provider, and only have reviews on a local chat room. I am in the same boat you are only the other side of the fence. I have had to do alot of strip teases to prove I'm not LE. I can't give away all the clues as to what we look for without provider refs, but be respectful and don't talk price-her rates will be listed somewhere

Ashley, You have a positive attitude and will become successful in this biz if you offer quality service for a reasonable price.  Until you get those reviews, make yourself known on your regional board so guys can get an understanding of who you are.

Contact ladies you are interested in. Give them the full scoop on your reference situation in your polite introductory e-mail or conversation. Be prepared to offer up some personal or work information for screening purposes. If they don't want to see you, nicely thank them for their time and ask if it would be okay to contact them back after you have some further references. Whether the they see you or not, don't leave a bad impression. You can be a newbie, but leave a good vibe behind you. News travels.

Sooner or later, there will be ladies that say yes. See them, write reviews. Be polite and ask nicely if you may use them as references. If you have fun, consider seeing them again, to keep yourself fresh in their mind and build a relationship.

Repeat this process until you get the hang of it, and you have a number of references. After awhile, things get easier. We've all been there. I got started that same difficult way, without the benefit of a verification/reference service. It can be done. Just be a good, safe client and do what is expected and appropriate. Read the lady's website for her etiquette page or FAQ before seeing her. Be on time and an efficient communicator for logistics stuff. The easier you can make it on them, the better it works for you in the long run.

Patience, grasshopper.

I'm sure it's been posted before and I (obviously) missed it. I thought the regional boards were only for advertising.

Thank you for the tip, Keystone!

I was in your position last month. I did not feel comfortable giving all my personal info to providers, even though I knew it was safe. I joined Date check ( who verify your employment Hx) and contacted two well reviewed providers and explained my situation to them. I had a meeting with both of them last week on diff days and now I have two references on date check from these providers. So that would be a good technique.

That's what the verification sites are there for. They are easy to get set up with, and relatively painless.

my references were old or no longer providing. Stick with the winners, be honest with your info and you will have no problem meeting the provider of choice. Providers are constantly looking for new, professional guys that are courteous and discrete.

Suppose you are:

• New to the area
• Self-employed
• Cautious about getting your personal details in a hobbyist database that might someday become public or be seized by LE.  (Who checks out the checkers?)
• Concerned about having your personal details on a provider's computer or in a physical "black book" that could easily be seized by LE.

I recently moved here from Las Vegas where screening was rarely - if ever - practiced.  Instead, providers and hobbyists alike used common sense, situational awareness and basic caution before moving to the point of no return.  Don't believe me?  Check out the Vegas reviews here at TER. Virtually no one asks for references or other verification.

As such I am very reluctant to reveal my personal details to any provider (or third-party service) - unless, of course, she wants to reveal her personal details to me as well.  How do I (or anyone here, for that matter) REALLY know who is behind all these reviews?
