I agree. For me it's only fun if it's totally made up as you go, which means you both need to be on much the same wavelength. Something like improv comedy but hopefully without an audience shouting out suggestions. For most people in the trade, though, I think role play means a planned out script with costumes and props. *yawn*
I've never really given this serious thought, but as a show business professional I'm curious about it, sounds like it can be fun for both provider and client(hell, it's probably led to a few actresses' careers). I would like to hear from both providers and clients about their experiences, why they love it and what they do, how they prep for it and what kinds of things trips their triggers and why.
Maybe its the lady sitting alone at a bar, the nurse at your doctor's office (perhaps you are having a hard time getting that sperm sample by hand and she decides to give you a hand, or mouth?), or possibly when you are at the airport you wonder about what it would be like if a TSA Inspector who was sexy and buxom, decided to take you in another room to search you and one thing lead to another. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be trapped in an elevator with that sexy neighbor?
This is what role playing is about. It can be a great deal of fun, provided that both parties are really into it. After figuring out the scenario, its best to just let things ride and take their own course. Scripting takes away the spontaneity.

I don't know about that necessarily. Let's say someone's fantasy is to act out a specific scene in a movie. Let's say the guy wants to be Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca re uniting with Ingrid Bergman with an alternate ending or James Bond bedding his hot babes in between saving the world from destruction. It could be done like method acting, a script being a given scenario with the "actors" improvising their lines, the importance being placed more on the gut feelings of the scene rather than dialogue specifics.
Speaking of movies and show biz fantasies, does anyone know if there actually are escort agencies that specialize in celebrity look alikes? What kind of hourly rate would an Angelina Jolee look alike command? Sandra Bullock? Beyonce? Shakira? I would think if anyplace would have such, it would be LA.
Role playing is sometimes a good alternative to regular visits. Sometimes I have the provider dress up and role play like a banker and I "come in" trying to get a loan. You should try it. It can spice things up and create a more fun laid back atmosphere especially with a provider you are already familiar and comfortable with.
