Different providers require different things. I've seen reputable independents who don't require references or verification. I've been to agencies that just require a legitimate work OR home number.
I've never had anyone require an "official" ID [what about anonymity?] but maybe those providers are out of my price range.
I'm probably not a new case, but I have little info to help me get verified with providers, and I don't want to end up with a rocky start as a newbie.
Is there an easier, non-governmental method for verification? They have little info on me as it is, and my last job wasn't "official"(which was my first). Would something like address verification be helpful(like if you're on an apartment lease)?
Actually, I read the few threads that even get into the subject, I even searched the board;that's why I asked the question, it hasn't been answered. I actually got turned down because of me basically being a ghost yesterday. But I tried another provider, she seems nice and things went smoothly, so I hope it won't happen again.
