Hi help a newbie out if you can....  
Like many of the newbies here I am trying to find my way. I have a personal and professional life that I need to protect at all costs. The impact of me participating in this lifestyle being disclosed would be devastating.  
So I am considering p411 and I am close to pulling the trigger on that. However some ladies don't use p411 or add their own screening. Any advice as how to communicate to make people feel comfortable and mitigate risk?
Do I just focus on getting p411 and a second and third reference? (I have one as of this month) and use an alias? This to me means only provide my real info to 411?
Also if I were will to send my real linked in or personal info to an email I would not want to send that to an address that when googled drops you to a provider page. Does it freak providers out to request an alternative email address to send personal info to? Or is sending that info a newbie mistake that I should avoid altogether?

I agree with most of what you said. Focus on getting P411 and the 2nd and 3rd references.  With those, you should have a large number of providers who will feel comfortable seeing you.  But others will ask for additional info, eg your real full name.  They have every right to do that.  Then you need to decide if you're comfortable giving out that info.

I have never given my full real name or other personal info beyond what's in my P411 profile for screening.  I freely give my TER handle so that providers can read my reviews and white lists if they wish.  If they don't like what they see in my reviews and in my P411 profile, it's unlikely we'll have a good time together.  

I've never asked a provider for an alternate email but I'm very careful about what I say in emails, even if they're encrypted.

I agree a provider needs to use whatever she feels necessary to feel safe, a hobbyist should only give out what information he/she (for you Lopaw) feels comfortable with. If a certain provider wants more info than you are willing to give, then move on. Same procedure as you would if the certain provider has a rate above your budget.

The first, which I ascribe to, is to give any and all info that a gal asks for up to and including home address, phone number, and work info. The underlying idea is that by doing so, you are creating a large comfort factor for the gal, and she will be more interested in seeing you.  The down side is mitigated by her excellent record and reputation.  Yet, the downside exists.  Every so often there is a complaint that some gal with a great reputation tries to pull a fast one and blackmail or otherwise use the client's personal information against him.  Bottom line:   There's always a risk.  (I could add that we only hear one side of these stories, so they are not totally verifiable.)  

 
The other is to give out zero information, except to perhaps a screening agency like P411, and except the fact that you won't get to see a certain number of gals, but you can rest easy knowing that they have to way to use that information against you.  The downside of course is that you still leave yourself open to being busted because LE doesn't do screening.  Of course, if you limit yourself to gals with reviews, that risk is mitigated, but it isn't zero.

 
So, choose the philosophy that feels best to you.   I can say that I've seen over a hundred gals from the internet, and never had any issue with my personal info being compromised.   The only two situations where things did go wrong was as a result of gals I met through MPs.

Between giving out all the information a provider requests and giving out no information whatsoever to anything but a screening service. Most hobbyists fall inbetween.  

There are various levels of screening demanded by different providers, from whoever happens to text them gets in, to virtually demanding as much as if you applied to Harvard University. (I kid.) Fund your sweet spot.  

Personally, I book mostly through P411. It's easy, and most girls don't ask for verification at all. I assume they just use my Okays, but I don't ask and it usually doesn't come up. I see some non-P411 girls, and the most I give them is my name, number, and two references.  

Generally speaking, I see no screening as a red flag, but I once saw a girl who asked for nothing more than my age. Because she had a crapload of reviews and seemed safe. But normally I wouldn't go the zero personal information route.

Yep this story pretty much sums up exactly what I worry about. If someone called my house trying yo speak to my wife or my job for that matter I would be out here of my mind.

I understand the feeling of trying to get established as I am a relatively new provider.

It wouldn't bother me to provide an alternate email (which has no connection to my name or website) for my potential client. I think it's a pretty harmless request.
