Fair enough, thanks for the reply. I'd rather find this stuff out here than sound like a clown when trying to set something up ![]()

Hello, first post here! So I'm not new to the sex industry (dated a few providers and a few strippers when I was younger); however, I am still a virgin when it comes to being a paying hobbyist. After reading a good 27 pages into the newbie forum, I have a few questions still unanswered.
[edit] question regarding LE was answered by reading the 'leagal corner' forum, removed [/edit]

I found a provider from TER that I would like to see. She says on her page she wants "At least 2 references from other ladies you have seen". Do you think it would be worthwhile to contact her and tell her I am a 'virgin' and would really like for her to be my first, I've had contact with the industry before, I will be courteous and respectful, I have read a great deal on etiquette from TER, etc? Or would this just scream "IM AN IDIOT THAT CAN'T READ!". Give it a go or come back later?
Also, for providers in general, some ask for employment contact. Currently I do not 'work', I am back in grad school for a career change (in my 30's). Would you just suggest putting the university down as a contact? Or would you explain this when you first contact her? Or would you just forget about seeing providers that require that info for the next year and a half?

It's kind of annoying to be contacted by people who can't provide whatever info is needed for verification.
I'd suggest finding another provider because if this lady wants two references and you can't provide any or any employment information then she's probably not going to see you.

I agree with Carrie. If you can not gather the requested information that a provider desires, you are simply wasting everyone's time. Providers vary greatly in what information they require to pre-screen. Some will accept only references from well established ladies, others will accept work verification and a photo ID upon arrival, still others will accept an appointment simply by the fact that you are a TER member. In fact, maybe they will be comfortable with the fact you are a student with proper identification.
However, in most cases you will have to provide some information to a lady for her comfort. You have no references and no work employment so you are in a little tougher spot than a lot of hobbyists. But as they say, there a lot of fish in the proverbial sea. I am sure if you do your homework you will be able to find a provider who is willing to see you without references or employment verification. Good luck.
...you might try working with Date-Check or RS2K to help with verifications or go the agency route but both do verifications of sorts as well. From a newbie perspective, its like first time job interviews, they ask what kind of experience you have when you are just starting out! But the hard work is sooooo worth it!
Oh and avoid CL and the like, none of the providers I have read in TER would accept references from CL providers. Just my observations.

expect a provider to make an exception for you... especially when you are an absolute newbie with zero track record. An agency might be a better bet for you-- or joining Date-Check.
If you want to see that provider, you might consider seeing 2 other girls with less strict screening requirements just to get their references afterward. Once that's done, you're in like Flint.
If you look on eros-ny.com, you'll plenty of providers and a good number of them don't ask for work information or prior refs.
Good luck
There are always lots of questions and the above answers are very revealing! Like avoid CraigLists however some providers do list on several sites - I do check to see if there are good reviews on TER! There were also providers I saw on EROS or CityVibe as well that I though about going with - but then cross checked the reviews on TER and found out they were absolute disaters waiting to happen! As a new hobbyist as well - do the research and I always check the new reviews and I also click on the reviewer to see see if he is traveling a lot or if he is one city and then who else he is seeing! This helps at time. TER provides some excellent search option and it took me a month of reading to narrow down my searches! Hope this helps and sorry it is long! USE TER WISELY- a Friend!
I too was a "virgin", that is until yesterday! Let me tell you what worked for me. First, I did my research on TER and found 2 providers I thought I'd like to see. I then joined RoomService2000. When it came to contacting the providers, I simply explained my situation via E-mail ( I'm retired, hence have no job info to give you, have never seen a provider before, so have no references, but have joined RS2k and they can "verify" me. In both cases, I was "accepted" within 2 days and the provider I eventually chose told me RS2k worked like a charm. I'd say give this a try.
Start with an agency or try one of the referal services such as RS2000 or Date Check. Whatever you do, stay away from CL.
