I'm new to this and saw an ad on cityvibe for someone I would be interested in seeing. I've exchanged a few emails with her - she provided a different number to me than the one in her ad when she asked me to call her. When I asked her why the two numbers were different, she said to call the number on her ad instead. I'm nervous about actually meeting with her since she only has three posts on cityvibe and no reviews. I did a google search on her images and found her fb profile. Seems legit unless the person who posted this ad just stole the pics from her fb profile. But then again, the pics look like they were taken directly from fb...
Thoughts??

If not, move on. See my post above.

Please take some time to follow the suggestions found all over in the Newbie section.
1. Learn the basics by reading the Self-Help Section and the most recent few pages of Newbie Board posts.
2. Get VIP in order to read full reviews, cross-check reviewers and PM them. VIP will save you money.
3. See only well reviewed providers.
It sounds like you tried to check her out in your own way, but you missed the one way everybody agrees is a must for newbies. Good thing it's not too late.
I looked on her FB profile and it looks like she's from Delaware. Did she mention she was from out of town? Ask her where she's from (try to trick her). It also says she's interested in Men and Women, which is a good sign. Personally, I think (and hope) she's legit. Take one for the team and then give her a review. Her posts are only a month old so its perfectly reasonable that she doesn't have any reviews yet.
What were her prices? I am quite interested in her myself!
Wanting it badly won't make it real. No more than with that other fake/ripoff you asked for help with the other day. I hope you guys start to learn that you can't just get excited by every hot looking pic you see in an ad with no verification. There's tons of them out there, just waiting for suckers to victimize.
A Google Image search shows that those pics belong to a popular model who isn't likely to be found spreading her legs for same day callers. Searching the phone number turns up pages of links to ads with other stolen pics. Bad news all around.
If you search all 3 pictures you'll get different results. The first picture gives Laurel on facebook. The third picture give another name on my space. The second gives Laurel but from an Arizona College. These pictures are all over the place and for that reason i would be extra cautious.
In the last few days I've seen numerous posts about Facebook. Guys using it. Providers using it, or at least ladies claiming to be providers in ads using it. Some of them sounded as if the Facebook thing made the ladies being researched acceptable. Isn't this scaring the s**t out of people? The hobby and Facebook?! You have got to be kidding me.
To newbies I say even if her pictures are legit and everything checked out the Facebook thing would have me running full tilt in the other direction.
The advice others have given you here is good advice. Take heed of it. But get the Hell away from Facebook as far as the hobby is concerned.
Yes, agreed - too many posts on a couple different boards these past few days about people using facebook and trading facebook to each other blah blah blah. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? Social media and this hobby DO NOT MIX!! WHY do you all even think it does? Common Sense! This is a discreet profession not something that Aunt Mable in Idaho needs to be confronted with somehow, somewhere. Yikes!

I do have a Facebook account using my hobby email account that I have locked down as tight as I can make it. Never gave permission to use my addresses to search, Yet I still get recommendations on the side that I might know (ie want to friend) two providers under their real names. One lady I see and know it is her real name and no I am not trying to friend her. The other lady it is the email I used to set up a possible session that never happened and the only reason I know it is her is because the Facebook picture is definitely her. So even ladies who are not trying to use Facebook need to be careful. The default settings put you way out there and Facebook tries extremely hard to connect you with potential people even when your not trying.
Yes, facebook pulls all your e-mail contacts and then locates them on their site and suggests them as friends. I have had quite a few "yikes" in my personal account and realized the only way was from pulling those emails and merging them with other members. I used to think it was a one shot deal, but,I think once I searched for "Friends" that way the system keeps searching.
That's why I have a hobby Netbook with hobby email and separate Facebook so when I am using it I am not risking anything on my main computer. I have helped a couple of providers with computer issues and bringing along my play computer means I am not as worried about what I stick on it or where I need to search. I am always amazed at the ladies who have there stuff on the family computer that the kids also use without even any kind of encryption program on their pictures. Never mind what surprises programs like Facebook will throw at them.
