I've had a number of good clients from CL (after wading through a LOT of BS emails) and even more from Travslist (NO BS emails from there at all). The very first client I accepted who found me on TER was my first (and only to date) NCNS. Go figure. LOL
Of course, I can look back and see where I had let down my guard just a bit because he was on this site also... never again though.
So I am wondering which is the best way to advertise myself. I am fairly new to this, and so far I have been working with agencies but I want to branch out and work on my own. I have a few clients who love me and want to see me on regular basis. But I know that I need more to be able to be out on my own. So I'm wondering, where should I advertise?
I've looked through sites like CL and Backpage but those girls on there look like I don't know. I certainly do not want attract the wrong type of crowd.
I prefer to get upscale clients, who know how to take care of their personal hygene, etc.
So would I attract less desirable men by posting on CL and Backpage? Or do upscale men still use CL and Backpage?
Eros or post on your TER region board. I never have contacted a lady from CL or backpage. I've looked but a lot of them aren't even in TER so it's not worth the risk. I've seen a few ladies on Cityvibe but they tend to post on Eros or TER as well.
Your TER region board with a well reviewed provider is best. I have heard lousy things about CL/Backpage providers.
Better to be safe than sorry.
I have met many of my clients on TER and they are always well-mannered gentlemen.

But I personally don't advertise on CL. Because of the type of gentlemen that have called. And they're not well mannered. With that said, depending on the area Backpage and Cityvibe can be good for you. EROS, I haven't tried but Ive heard some good things about it. TER is great also. But then again I haven't met anyone from TER yet (because of my area), but I haven't heard anything negative either.
Best of Luck!

As a hobbyist, I would say here, first of all. EROS would be the second choice. If you have to pay for an ad, IMHO the guys are gonna put more faith in your offerings.
But, you need to get some reviews here or somewhere else if you want to attract some really quality clients....

As a hobbyist, I look at all of the sites you listed. however CL I look at infrequently. For me it's not so much where I find a lady, it's does she have reviews. Obviously I like it if she has TER reviews, but there are other review sites.
I've toftt, but with the recession, I like a sure thing, and I count on the reviews after I've done my shopping. BP, CV and Eros can be somewhat regional, out my way, quality well reviewed ladies advertise on all three of these sites. Finally you may find that there are local sites, in Phoenix we have a site, www.phoenixdelights.com. In San Diego there's SDASP. In certain cities, groups of escorts advertise together on one website. Do your research start advertising and make sure to ask the gentleman where they found you. Good luck and remember to screen your clients.
Thanks to all who have replied!
It is helping!
I prefer Eros for professional providers. Never had a bad run with them. When I'm feeling adventurous and want to try an under-the-radar type I scan the CL and BP ads. With any source you use I would imagine that you would need to screen and take the proper precautions. I'm sure the ladies can help here. Good luck.
I prefer Cityvibe asian providers los angeles, Its been very very good for me. ![]()
(1) it is where I first discovered the biz and that led me here to TER, (2) lots of pics of ladies from all over the US, and (3) Especially good for finding touring ladies.
Good luck with your business plan.
When I first started out, I advertised on Craigslist. It wasn't what it is now. These days, I wouldn't go near it, no. Dont want to put myself on anyones radar. But my best clients I met off of Craigslist. Bankers, lawyers, real estate brokers, doctors, architects, etc. Some, very high profile, locally. Its all in how you advertise yourself, and how you screen. Thats going to determine who you attract. But if you advertise on CL be prepared to get a lot of spam, and a lot of weirdness to sift through.
I occasionally advertise on Backpage, and for me personally, it hasn't been any better or worse than any other place. Same with Cityvibe. I've never tried Eros. I only provide part time, and the fees arent worth it for me at this time.
TER of couse would be the best bet. If you arent a member of any of the verification websites, that would be a good idea. After I was accepted on Date-Check, I had a noticable increase in business, as guys can find you that way, as well.
I, too, will still take an ad on Backpage. My BP experience has not been bad. I do find the ones that don't want to be screened so I bypass those and go for the good ones. I've met some nice gents there overall.
Lke Gabby, I have never had an EROS ad. I may try it though. And I do get contacts through the verification sites as well.
You might also consider joining one or more of the verification sites. (Date-Check, Preferred411) If you advertise on your regional board here, and have a membership on the verification sites, many of your new clients will be coming to you already pre-screened.
