Doubles are a very good way to start out, actually. You could meet the other lady for a drink before the appointment to get to know her and pick her brains. If you can get someone reputable to take you under her wing, you should learn a lot both from talking to her and seeing her in action. Good providers work together when doing doubles, not in competition with one another. It's also better from a safety point of view.

Dumb question... seems like a bit of a catch22 trying to get established.  Guys don't want to meet without reviews, sites don't want to list you without guys meeting you and reviewing you.  So what about a M&G type thing?  Not a "freebie" but just a relaxed, casual thing so we can get to know each other?  Or, more to the point, you can make sure I'm not LE and I can do the same.  No sex at all, maybe some light affection at best.  How many of you guys would be responsive to that?  Just curious if I should offer it as an option.  I've had numerous responses to the ad buuuut.. ya'll want to be sure I'm legit and I want to be able to do the same.

I can't believe I just said ya'll.  I've been down here too long.  ;)

It would be a dumb question if you didn't ask it. Actually, I've seen this offer on several ladies' websites. I don't know how much response they get, but why not give it a try. It can always turn into an extended date if you both agree on it.

Introducing yourself...  and some participation...  on your local board & here on the Newbie board will go a long way toward getting members comfortable with you.  

Do you have a web site up?  Even a basic template type is ok to start.  A few pictures, body revealing but preferably not explicit & NO BUTT pictures.  OK to blur face.  I DO NOT call a lady with suspect pictures...  just 2-3 from different angles to reassure me that they're not stolen off the internet.  
To link to your site, you must have a TER logo on the first or second page, I believe.  

If you advertize on TER (only permitted one ad every 7 days on your local board) then members more likely to review you.  OK to ask after the session, not ok to offer discounts for reviews.

It does take a while to get established...  your "stage name" & reputation as a honest provider is valueable...

Thank you so much.  Yes, I do have a site, it's posted on my ad on the Fla boards.  I actually just got some pics done and am posting them as we speak.

in order to get your review history started:

post your ad weekly on your regional board

offer a discount to TER members who have a review history. DO NOT make it a quid pro quo, though - ie requiring that a review actually be written or tha ta specific set of scores be given.

talk to ladies in your area who have a review history and see if any of them would be interested in doing doubles with you

look into joining date-check and / or preferred411.  (this might require that you have a review history though, not sure, but I think that providers can veryify others for date-check membership)

Yeah, they do require reviews before they'll let you apply.  However, I've taken the advice gleaned so far.  I posted my ad and just posted pics I took tonight.

I'm still feeling a little nervous about all this cause it's so very new to me, I don't think I could do a "double" just yet.  I would be afraid of not holding up my end, so to speak.

A discount?  Hm.  That's actually a really good idea.  Thank you again.
