I have this friend, who wants to start escorting, and though she's great her English is quite bad... so my question (as a native speaking english woman) is does it really matter to guys??? I mean if she can get by with the basics do you really need conversational skills???

Command of the English language is not a prerequisite for me, especially if she is hot. lol

Some guys actually prefer a language barrier.

I tend toward one hour dates, and with Asian women, so it doesn't matter much to me. If I had the time and wanted a longer date or evening with a lady, I would want to have some interesting discussions, so then her language skills would matter.

BTW. You didn't mention if her lack of English fluency is due to it being her second language. If English is her primary language, and it's bad, that would be a turn-off.

I actually find a different dialect sexy.  I would love for someone to talk dirty to me in a language where I was left to ponder what she was saying to me.

My Korean and French aren't that good, but I can get by in Canada, France or South Korea.  I've seen a lot of French Canadian women who don't speak much English, and we've got along just dandy.  

Conversational skills aren't always as important as other skills.

If she can get her point across that way, I think she'll do fine, and no the language barrier wouldn't bother me.

I had a long time favorite Korean provider and we just adored each other.  She could speak just enough English to get by, and we even would spent weekends together in NYC.

It just worked, is all I know, and I even picked up a few words of Korean.

It is an interesting question, for which I don't know the answer. I haven't been in this scenario. Since I tend to longer sessions, it could get weird during "recovery downtime" if we can't talk. Then again, if I'm doing DATY, I don't really have to talk anyways, and she probably wouldn't mind.
