Hi guys,

Before you instinctively direct me to the "self-help center", I have a couple questions that I still can't find answers to.

I recently set my foot into this industry and figured out that having TER reviews is very important.

The question is, how do I get guys to start posting reviews for me? Do I simply ask my clients that they do the favor? Let's say someone submits my very first review, how and where would I even find that review when I'm not registered as a provider on TER yet. In other words, how would those reviews be directed to my profile without a provider id# or any other linkage?

I'm so confused :s

You would just do a search for your name or phone number in the reviews section and see if it pops up.

In my opinion you can ask a client to post a review if you've learned he goes to the boards. Most people won't be taken aback by that.

The hobbyist who toftt and fills in the profile does that. You'll get a provider id# once the review is approved.   You can check the new reviews in the city your located after you see someone to find out if he's written a review.  And you can ask at the end of a date if the gentleman will write a review for you.
However, many hobbyists will say they will, and then don't follow thru and write the review. Just the way it is.

Just a couple of suggestions.

First off.  You will be registered as a provider as soon as you get your first review.  Everyone starts out with the same membership privileges and it's only after a review that TER will identify you as a provider.

It never hurts to ask for an HONEST review.  Just wait until after the session is over and mention that you would appreciate a review if the gentleman is a TER member.  Don't offer discounts or special privileges as it could be construed as trying to influence for a better review.

As a basic member you should be able to go to:  Reviews > Search Reviews > then enter either your provider name, or phone #, or email in the correct search block and do a search.  When you see that you have received a review, use the "Contact Us" option to get Admin to tie your review to your handle.  Then you'll also get a limited VIP and a few other perks.

Good luck

When you have a profile, go to it and click on the link that says "add to my favorites."

Then the next time you want to check out your profile, just go to Account Manager, then click "My Favorites", and you'll come right to a list of profiles, and yours will be there along with any others that you might care to see.

Further, it will say when your profile was last updated, so if you see a new date from the last time you checked, you'll know that most likely a new review has been added to it.

I'm pretty sure this will work even if you don't have VIP.

So start there.  You better have at the very least an ad on a site like Eros, Cityvibe, or even Backpage.

Once you have a site, a client can write a review, and your profile and TER ID will be created.  That doesn't mean you will know it is even created, so you will need the client to tell you or you will need to look out for it.

Beyond that, just ask your clients to consider writing a review IF they in fact do write reviews.

I didn't realize providers could have favorites.

And no, it won't work if you don't have VIP.  Even if you had it in the past, you can't access your favorites list if your VIP lapses.
