The Green Dot VISA was the first one I got...that is how this thread started.  You can get the card activiated, but only the temporary if you do not give all the vital info...SS#, name address DOB, etc.  This is req'd by Fed.
Now...
The real problem starts with trying to pay CC Bill at the TER VIP screen...it will not accept the card.  They also require name, address, and the name on the card, which they verify.  When asked for "Name on Card,"  Vanilla Gift Card or VISA Gift card does not work.   I have been told that they must confirm 18 yoa and that cannot be done with a "gift" card that anyone can buy.  Now, if anyone has been successful, please tell me how...I will buy some more cards.  Not interested in separate PO boxes

CC Bill is certainly secure, but their website says they will place an 800 number on the line item charge in your monthly credit card statement.  That does not sound very safe?  Any one else looking at your bill has only to call to find out that the subscription charge is not for Netflix!  I am I correct?

Yes, I do prefer the Money Order option but it is taking a while to get that arranged / mailed etc.

Billing comments and reccs appreciated

I'm new also, so don't quote me, but I think the cost is more if you do it by money order. I could be wrong though! Either way, being new, I wouldn't want to over invest. Plus a prepaid visa will eliminate the time it takes for them to process things with a money order.

....or prepaid mastercard...... if you're not just using this site...some others don't take visa anything.

I don't think the VIP join ccBILL screen allows a prepaid card.  Looks like it wants NAME ADDRESS etc and special 3-ltr ID on back of a regular card.

Am I wrong?  Anyone actually paid VIP with a pre pay?

I wouldn't be able to tell you I don't use a prepaid. I use a regular credit card.

I have been told that visa all access gift cards through netspend work the same way. You put in whatever information you want and you can sign right up.

tried a basic card.  Even with my real name the verification failed with a single wrong number in the SS number.  Fed requires verification name, dob, and SS on ALL such cards.  Unless you steal an entire identity (which I would not do), it will not work.  Any other ideas while waiting for the Money Order to reach the Netherlands?

have the bill go to a cheap PO Box, and deal with it this way. Pay for this with a money order if you can't write a check. This has worked for many I know, not in the hobby, but for when they go out of town to a city they do not tell their wife they are going to

Get a Green Dot card and you can refill them (up to $500) with money paks which are available at any CVS or Walgreens among many other places.
