My name's Emily and in the past that is what clients called me but now that I'm posting ads etc. I was checking out the other girls and they seem hell bent on adjectives and they have an unholy fascination with alliteration.  I was wondering as a potential client when you read ads for a GFE what are you looking for? I know basics like pics, services and expectations and a contact form but what about the details and overall vibe?  Is it just me or is ~~Sexy~~Sensual~~Sarah~~ over the top and tacky? Should I just roll with the punches and become Eloquent~Enchantress~Emily~ would y'all find that endearing? Would you wish to engage with me for an enticing event? LOL. Seriously, though...what does the mid level to upscale market(the 400-700.00 per hour clients)react well to in GFE ads?

a nice website that has honest pics and gives us a sense of your personality, a level of services that matches what you promise, a positive engaging attitude, perhaps a little bit of board presence here to let us get to know you, rates that are competitive for what you are offering, prompt and courteous replies to legitimate inquiries, good but not obstructive screening practices.

Bonus points for becoming a date-check and / or preferred411 member.

Demerits for advertising on Craigs List or Backpage LOL

In other words good business practices and people skills.

Frankly I find the kind of names you are referring to  to be tacky and a disinsentive, but I fully admit to being a snob lol

Skip the ~~ bs.
CL girls (and I use "girls" intentionally to differentiate from "Ladies") use all kinds if silly symbols.  I believe it started to beat spam filters & reader programs which automatically mined e-mail addresses.  So in my mind has come to be associated with less serious providers.
If you are known as Emily, stay with it.  Your stage name is linked to your good reputation.  I'd select a single word preface that conveys the right image. "ElegantEmily",  "AlwaysEmily" You get ther idea.  Pass on "EasyEmily"  LOL!
Best Wishes,
skb

I'm with GTM... The only caveat, is to do a search on Emily in your general "area of operation". If there are a zillion Emilys you might wish to add a first or last name to allow for easy identification on TER and other sites.

The best sites are those where the gal's tastes and personality come out.

If there is one big thing to concentrate on, make it be the photos.

Use a professional photog if you can.

Be sure that the photos display large.

You don't have to show us spread shots to get our attention, but they should reveal your overall body shape and size, even if you don't want to show your face.

Best wishes.  I'll be looking forward to seeing your site.

If you're desiring to stand out and above the rest, you need to be original. Some of the adjectives, attached to names, are just tasteless in my opinion.  I would suggest you to contemplate a first and last name that flows together nicely.

For instance mine, Paris Bouvier...it's stylish, elegant and well thought out. I was nicknamed Paris as a very young child, due to my ornate fashion sense. So naturally, Paris would follow me throughout this industry as well. However what I found, coming up with a last name is the tricky part. After a couple of months of pondering last names, I finally settled on Bouvier. Bouvier was selected due to none other than Ms. Jacqueline Kennedy. A classy, intelligent and icon of her time.

My recommendation, to you, is to take some time to analyse different names and what meaning they have to you, as well as, how they might reflect upon the viewer, prior to making a change. Especially in this industry, fitting in...is NOT the answer.

Paris Bouvier

Paris couldn't have said it any better. Take a look at Paris' website to get a sense of how the classy ladies (the 400-700 by your definition) do it.

Thank you sooo much Paris!  I'm going to take your advice and come up with a last name.  Thus far I'm thinking Emily Darling?  It's a little cutesy but I think that's ok considering that I'm selling that youthful, innocent GFE experience.  Please visit my site and use the contact form to get in touch with me so we can exchange info. I'm sure I could learn a lot from you and I'm totally open to constructive criticism :)

Oh the password for my site is:  Tiger

Love,

Emily

If you want to check my site out feel free to do so and offer constructive criticism...it's a crowded market in this recession and I need all the help I can get! :)

Oh, my site is password protected because I don't want my family or random people to stumble upon it... the password is Tiger

If you click on the pix in my gallery they will pop up larger in another window.  I have a pro photographer scheduled but in the meantime I'm just using candid shots which I think sorta works given that I'm going for girl next door.

ammendment.

It is amazing how often clients will flip on a provider just for a baseless threat, and how often providers will make admissions against their own interests in cases that could not be successfully prosecuted.

Make em do their job. Clam up and let your lawyer do his.

Cheers

you need to delete that part of your website to even access it. having a password that people have to type to just get to the website is NOT a great idea

2-those photos are not something I would expect to be paying for a 350/hour provider. I am sure alot of ladies will agree with me that if you are going to market yourself over 300, you need quality photos. What you have are not. Sorry just being honest.

3-Your website......well there are better free websites out there. PM me if you need help

4-info is not organized. Needs to be re-done

5-Alot of info that hobbyist look for is lacking on the site.

like i said, if you need help, pm me.

A few comments on different parts (if I can remember everything):

- I don't care for cutesy alliterative names myself but you do have stand out from generic "Emily"s. I've gotten past cutesy names (they don't keep me away) but it all comes down to the person, not the name.

- The one where you said you've decided to go with a last-name instead of the adjective-name. DON'T USE YOUR REAL LAST NAME! (yeah ... just kidding)

- Are you committed to the current name of your website? In a setting where every little thing just makes any other thing worse (E.g., poor Tiger Woods. "You did WHAT?" "You did it more than ONCE?" "You PAID one of them?") just imagine adding "And her website is called WHAT!!?" emilydarling dot com is more neutral (even totally innocent) and less emotive (to the wrong party). Maybe you can keep cuddlylolita but use a re-direct until traffic dies down?

- I like your home page pic (swing) and quote ("... complicated."). Taken a business course or two, have you?

- One of your pics has another person in it. Is she OK with that? If someone knows her, will that bring too much unwanted attention to you? Maybe you can just blur the face.

- Already mentioned: WATERMARK YOUR PICS.

- I'm really NOT hoppin' the next stagecoach to Texas but weren't your rates on the old test (religious theme) site lower?

In regard to your comments:

1. I was wondering about the password myself and will be taking your advice

2. Ouch. That stung a little.  Maybe you didn't read my post that said I have a photographer scheduled and just put these pix up as something to give people a general idea in the meantime?

3. That website isn't free to me since i paid 30.00 for a pretty useless "upgrade" but thus far it is the best I've been able to find aside from one that wants to charge me 75.00 per month!!!

4. Info isn't organized? What do you mean and what would you reccomend?

5. What info am I missing?

I can't pm you since I'm only a basic member. Please get in touch with me through the website and I'll give you my aim or yahoo im?

Thanks for your help!

Great idea about the Emily Darling thing...apparently I need a new site and will purchase a new domain and I will go with just my name on that one. Oh, and no I havn't taken any business classes...my degree is in art history.

Ugh...I know how to watermark my photos but I figured I wouldn't bother doing it until I get my pro photos up.  Who would want to bother stealing the ones I have now?

No, my rates are the same...It's the exact same info from the old rates page and I just changed the layout basically. From all the talk about my rates on here though I'm getting the feeling that I'm reaching with them? After seeing my pix and getting a general idea of what I'm about what do you think are fair rates? Before I was an Indie I made 500 on average per hour...granted I was a couple years younger then and also did incall so I don't know if that comes into play and to what degree. It's not my intention to price myself out of the market but at the same time I don't want to end up going twice as many dates to make half as much money either!

I'll give my agreement on most of the other postings - forget about cutesy alliterative names.  I always think lower-scale when I see that, not upper.

I agree and that was my first reaction, thus the post about it and what my alternatives are.  Emily Darling is TAKEN soooo anyone get any other ideas for last names??

impposter 49 Reviews 1347 reads

Below, I think you say that Emily Darling is already taken.

Art history ... How about picking the name of a famous Emily or Elizabeth artist who is long departed but can't sue you. Forget about Emily Dickinson; you won't remain UTR for long with that moniker. How about "Elisabetta Sirani - Italian Renaissance Painter. She was also a musician and poet who focused on religious and historical scenes. She died at 27, possibly poisoned (her father thought so, but a court didn't agree)."  Ooops! Poisoned? A little too creepy? Forget that one.

Googling emily ... "Emily the Strange", "Sex with Emily", "Emily Scott" (wow!), "Emily Browning" (wow!), ...

Watermarking: yah, more important once you get your real, steal-worthy (for competitive purposes) photos up.

Rates? I guess you'll have to check with people in your area to gauge things.

Good luck.

This is just my opinion and TOTALLY up to you, but the q&a about condoms, your vagina, and std's imply that you provide illegal services!  Yikes!

Just a thought, but totally up to you how "out there" you want to be.

Hey Scarlett,

LOL. Oh My! I Certainly wouldn't want to give that impression! Guess I will delete it from the site and just save the info to cut and paste when I get asked the same quetions over and over.

Thanks for the advice :)

hmmmmm THERE's an idea...my only issue is so many of those names imply an ethnic heritage that I most likely don't share and I don't want people claiming I'm being intentionally misleading.

Possible Ideas:

Emily Lux (like mod artist loretta lux...who is kinda known for creepy photographs of kids..could be a conflict of interest?)

Emily Burton

Emily Morgan

Emily Rose

Emily K. _(something)_

Emilee instead of Emily? or is that too cutesy?

Just to the last item: Not a cutesy issue, but a stupidity issue: us gents' stupidity, that is. If we think we're looking for Emily (in reviews, ads) we'll almost never remember to also check Emilee. When we can't find what we're looking for, it will just lead to frustration, anger, binge drinking, crashing the pick-up into a 7-11 ... I think EmilY is preferred until you are as established as, say, Barbra (not BarbAra) Streisand and spell things your own way.

Does Clifford's Emily have a last name or does that also cross the border of appropriateness? ("Your kid found WHAT while searching for Clifford's pages? ... Wow. She's cute. ... I mean, that's horrible!") I think "Emily Clifford" has the same problem.

Build a website that provide visitors a sense of who they will meet in you, physically and spirutally. Avoid over the top prose, describe in plain, but proper english. Have good, professional grade pictures that provide good body views and angled shots of your face and hair, make them good enough to incite interest but secretive enough that you can't be identified by anyone but your parents, maybe. Have sound verification procedures, for mid-high level providers, I prefer email contact until she verifies me and provide me with a contact number. Email is safer because it allows you to filter out undesirables. Avoid escort malls, get set up on top of the line verification services. Escort malls do have good providers, but you want to avoid having to distinguish yourself from the abundant poor performers and ripoffs that advertise on malls.

How about a play on words of your name Emily.  You could be Emma Lay.  Or something more royal like Emily "Queen" Elizabeth. I do like Enchantress Eliza or Eliza your Enchantress~ she'll put a spell on you.  Okay that last part was kinda cheesy.  Whatever you choose make sure you can say it without laughing or cringing.
