Asking a question like yours with that spelling is not going to get some good answers, IMHO.

I do hope he got the message, though!  The answer is, yes, lots of guys get ripped off but it's generally not by well reviewed TER girls.  Your best chance of not getting ripped off is to do your homework.
Read the Self-Help Manual.  The link is at the top right of the page under the life preserver.
Read the Newbie board as far back as possible.  There are no new questions  under the sun and they've all been answered here.
Use the search function to find answers to any questions you still have after doing the above.
At least until you've gotten some experience, stay away from Backpage girls.  Read the reviews of any TER girl to know what to expect from her.  Also go on her web site.

Understand this.  This business is full of scammers.  Any ad venue has scammers...  and well reviewed providers.   There are too many scams to list and the newbie & unwary is their prey.  Well reviewed providers are not (by definition) scammers.   However, you can not know by the mere presence of reviews...  even a number of reviews...  if they are good or bad.  
As a Newbie, and this is surely a Newbie question, you should read the Self Help section, link under the life preserver.  
Then read back on this board until you can answer every question without peeking.   Learn to search the review board for reviews in your area.   Once you are ready to begin shopping, you'll need VIP to read the full reviews.
A well reviewed provider has at least 6-10 reviews & at least some by experienced reviewers.   Pay especial attention to the 2 call system, the hobby phone, hobby email.

Not only should you read back until you can answer the questions. You should keep coming back to the newbie board and keep up to date with the other newbies asking questions. most every question asked anymore has been asked in one form or another. The Amount of knowledge that you can get from the seasoned vets on here will be of great benefit. While I know they have probably heard read or seen it all. I am sure that every once in a while there is a new question or an answer that even they will gleam some new insight from.

After four years I come back here quite often just to see what I can learn from anything new that has been posted. Get your VIP and DON"T be afraid to send a PM to some of the more season gentlemen here. They are here to give advice to all, even some not so newbies. They want your hobby to be safe and satisfying and would love to get your feedback with new reviews of the ladies you decide to spend time with
