So I'm new to this "hobby" and I've done some research but I'mm still a bit confused as to the best way to screen a client? And to make sure they aren't LE. Any recommendations?

but if that is a problem, be sure to get personal information from the person such as phone, address, place of work, their number, etc.

Call the place of work and ask for them.  Have some reason such as calling from a doctor's office to confirm an appointment.

Many guys don't like this but it's for both your safety.

Also, consider joining Dangerzone411 which is a site that keeps tabs on trouble makers. That site is often a life saver, literally.

you can also consider joining one of the verification sites such as Date-Check or Room Service 2000.  It's another way of working off of provider references.

As mrfisher states, references from providers you know are the gold standard.

You gentlemen always think about your safety and the use of reviews to make your choice and so do I.

If a lady has no reviews I give no reference.

I do my homework just like you guys do and check out the gentlemen that have reviewed the lady to see their track records.

Most reference sites do not take unknown providers for the same reason you might worry but they have many more to worry about.

Think of how many members they have.

I've always thought of the verification sites as helpful for you because rather than me choosing two references to provide, you can look at all of the ladies who have verified me and ask me to make arrangements for a reference from the ones you choose.  That way you can end up speaking with someone you may already know and trust.

and I always have my doubts till all is over the first time around.

Every first date gentlemen is handled like a newbie for me.I seldom ask for references for fear of getting to dependent on them. When I first started here no one would give me a reference never mind any help or info.

Let me say I am a member of DateCheck and have been for a long time. I am not a new provider and have been around more years that I should admit but did have great gentlemen references to use on DateCheck. I was welcomed with no Problem.

Ladies have asked me for employment info that they can privately check up on.

One pretended to be a credit card company calling my office to check where I worked.Plausible and discreet!

And  a few others asked for referals from other ladies who complied.
I say offer both options!to those who refuse...forget them.
It aint worth the risk!

What would one do if the place where they work has no public switchboard?  My company is extremely secretive about even the names of its employees... and there is no public line where you can call and ask to talk to so and so.

There is of course my direct line, but that's about as helpful as a disposable cell phone...
