This is a question for the Love Goddess on the Erotic Highway, but I think there are some minor risks even with HJ/Massage type sessions, depending on how much contact you have. Herpes can be transmitted from skin to skin contact in some cases.  There is also a fairly harmless but annoying virus called molluscum that can be spread either by skin to skin contact or from towels or sheets that have been used by an infected person.  It is largely considered an STD in adults and is contagious.  Wouldn't want to share it with the Mrs. or have to explain where it came from.  In the big picture, the risk is on the small side compared to more engaging sessions, but i don't think you can ever say there is NO way of getting something.

I am a newbie...Married..I just want to stick with nude massage and HJ..I have read several posts that there is NO way of getting any kind of STD from massage and HJ. Is it true?

If the provider is providing FS to other customers, does the probability change?

I am just turning 65 and long time married. But want to enjoy a new hobby and add/spruce up what I have at home.

Need some assurance on this issue.

Most STDs are STDs because the virus or bacteria that causes the disease needs certain conditions to thrive and/or is so uninfectious that extremely intimate contact is required for transmission.

In other words, a disease spread by hand/body contact alone is almost by definition not an STD.  You'll get the flu, or maybe at worst lice or something.  But not syphilis or the clap or herpes.

But, obviously nothing is impossible.  If she has genital herpes and rubs her crotch all over you, you might have trouble.  Or maybe she has a raging HIV infection and drools into your mouth after you just flossed.  Or whatever.  But dude, you're way more likely to have a car accident after the appointment.

you can transmit herpes even wearing a condom.
if the virus is on the pelvis of the man he can infect the ass and thighs of his partner and vic-versa.

exactly why i don't offer such things.

there is always risk of course (mine is greatest when a guy has pressure built up and i risk getting some in my eye, but i'm a good dodger and aimer)....

Yea, molluscum contagiosum is spread skin-to-skin.  It's little pimply things that generally go away by themselves.  Or you kill the pimples with some dry ice and be done with it.  Most people have non genital herpes (the kind that causes cold sores, and don't even know it).  And yea obviously you can get HIV from not having sex.  Tragically.  But it's not very easy.

But seriously, you're gonna have the guy worry about a massage and hand job?  Might as well urge him to avoid shaking hands and taking public transport too.

N.B. My Ph.D. and knowledge in this area way outranks LG's.  Just her knowledge in other areas way outranks mine.
