Okay so I'm a new provider here in the Tallahassee, Florida area. Knowing that no one knows me yet here on the scene, I've posted a website with a little information about me so everyone one can get a feel for who I am. The pictures that are on my page do me no justice at all, but I strongly believe that something is better than nothing. I know with them looking as basic as they do, a potential client may think I'm a "cheap" date and may not want to see me, but that is SO not the case. I've reviewed the boards, and have even become partially active in the boards (there's not much I can respond to because I don't have as much experience as you all do). I'm short but very smart, attractive, sweet, passionate, and polite. I also have a nice, slim, curvy body with a gorgeous smile. I have been trying to get myself started as an independent for about two months now. With only about a handful of legitimate requests, I'm online every single day tweaking my page, making changes to my website, and trying to better my ads. I've received great help from a very nice lady, as well as advice from this board. I really don't want to give up before I've actually gotten a really good start, but how do I go about getting started at this point? After about how long would I know that this just may not be for me? Any suggestions?

You need to advertise like Hell as a newbie & need decent pics. Also rates should reflect a newbie in Tallahassee. If your rates are high for your area & your NOT drop dead gorgeous, you'll be SOL.
Since you are new, I suggest you look at the providers in the whole northwest Florida area and see what their rates are. Check the average and place yours accordingly. If your rates are significantly higher than many of the other girls in the general area, that might be part of your problem.
At the same time, look at what services you are offering compared to what is on others' menu as well. Since I have not looked at your services menu, I don't know what is there, but it's also possible you may be too limited in your offerings for a lot of guys. Many guys won't see girls that don't DFK or BBBJ.
You might think also about touring to some of the more populated areas of the state, e.g., Jax, Orlando, Tampa. Just a thought.

Your rates seem to be reasonable. But I agree with the poster who said you need some better pictures, not porn, and showing some t & a might help. No face shots are ok, as many providers don't show their faces. Other than that, I don't know what more to tell you.

on your local board. I just checked, and you only have 9 posts in the past 30 days. Keep posting your weekly ad, but get involved in the discussions as well. Let the guys get to know your personality. Show your sense of humor. There are nearly daily theme threads on the Florida board. Get in on the fun, and post some good pictures on yourself on these threads. Above all, be patient. We were all new at one point, and it takes time, whether you're a provider or hobbyist. Just as we need to get the ladies to develop some trust in us, you need to do the same thing with the guys.
Just for starters... do you have the required TER logo/link on your site (page 1 or 2). If so link your site to every post. There's a way to do it automatically. Then when you participate, guys might click on it to check your offerings.
Absolutely, You board post participation let's us see your sence of humor & personality... increases our comfort level.
I do not know your pricing or local scale but you ought to set your price at a level you can live with & then offer "a special". Lower cost is nice. An extra half hour, might be appreciated but is not out of your pocket.
You must advertize. I'm not privy to ad costs but only one segment of the hobby uses TER.

I found your site. Your price point is low enough that you should attract interest, so that's good.
As stated those picts are not the best. I want to know what my prospective date looks like. OK to blur your face or turn away or cover with a hand or something. Get a picture that's will make me drool. I just can't see them well enough...
No real red flags in any of this. You need to get some advertizing out there. With a good pict & link to your site.

I'm new and having problems figuring out what to do as well. I sent a request to have my profile linked to my user name, but I have no reviews yet so does that mean there's nothing to link? I'm not allowed to post to the New York board unless I have a link, either to a website or to my profile on here, so I can't get any reviews unless they let me link to my profile which has no reviews yet. I'm confused. I don't know how to put up a website, and I'm not sure that I want to, I'd rather send guys pics privately. I wish there was a step 1, step 2 list to look at to get started! Whew!

Joy, the profile is set by the first reviewer. Any registered TER member can post; new members are moderated (delays your posts) until you satisfy the mod that you are worthy of not being moderated. Without reviews, there is nothing to link.
Read the Newbie Manual and you will find the requirements for posting one ad per week on your regional board which can have a link to your web site, provided it meets TER requirements. Good luck!

Ok, so does that mean that since I haven't been with any TER reviewers, I need to have my own web site in order to post on there? Because that's the only way I'm going to GET any TER reviews!

You need to have a website or web ad. I suggest Weebly.com, I use them for my site, and you can get the totally free version.
If you do decide to buy a domain name, be sure to spend the extra dollar and make sure your owner information will be hidden in the whois.net database. GoDaddy.com offers it, but unless you're rather websavvy, I'd just go with a free site. 'yourname.weebly.com'. I like them because it's so customizable and are, IMHO, a hell of a lot less tacky than the template escort sites.
You need to take into account SEO, Search Engine Optimization, so you can be found in google. Weebly shows you step by step how.
You mentioned you'd rather send gentlemen photos directly. The problem with that is a lot of people will simply skip you because they may feel like you're hiding something. You'll also feel a little downtrodden because you'll be sending out a lot of photos and not getting a proportionate response. What you want to do is make it as easy as possible for someone who likes your 'type' to find you. You should include *some* photos on your site showing your body, at the very least. If you're worried about being noticed by someone who might recognise you, don't be phazed. It's commonplace to have faces hidden.
To get reviews, you can offer a motivation for your previous clients, such as.. "Write a review for me on TER, and get $50 off your next booking." If you're active enough in conversations on the boards, someone will get enough of a feel for you to be comfortable with TOFTT. (Taking one for the team) and getting you that first review. Ask in your appointments if they are a VIP member of TER, because it's difficult for new providers to get reviews from new members approved by the EroticGods.
In terms of not knowing where to start, take a look at other providers' website and follow their example. Do not copy word-for-word, but imitation in the sincerest form of flattery, and the best way to 'fake it till you make it'.
