Stop advertising on CL. Get yourself a nice website. Put in the little details that will make yours and his experience a smoother one.

I've seen plenty of ads stating 'no smokers', 'NO BBFS', 'CASH ONLY', etc.

Again, get away from CL, and find a better class of clientel

How do I handle a client that holds back important information?

The guy didn't mention he was married until I made plans. He doesn't want to use a condom.

Plus he smokes...and no smoker will be doing DATY on me! I am extremely sensitive to cigarette smoke.

I ended up with severe bronchitis as the result of a smoking client.

I want to break it off...so I'm not accused of being flaky again.

Married or not should not be a factor.  Not using a condom is a BIG NO NO!  That in itself is grounds for canceling the appointment.  Oh, he might say, "OK, I'll use one" but then in the heat of the moment he will probably try to convince you otherwise.

Break it off and don't look back.  Other hobbyists will not consider you flaky if your reviews (at least the vast majority of them) state otherwise.  For most of us, it is all about performance.

I don't smoke so I'll take his place for the DATY--OK?  LOL

Do you ask for all of this info up front? Honestly, I don't see how being married would be an issue. You are cutting out a ton of potential business if you don't wan to see married guys. The fact is many providers prefer it.
The condom is of course a huge deal breaker and no one is going to consider you a flake for refusing to go bareback with some loser.
The smoking thing is something you really would need to make clear up front as most guys wouldn't think to mention it during screening.

Not sure why his marital status is an issue.

Not wanting to use a condom -- that, among everything else, seems to a completely non-negotiable rule.

If you don't want to see a smoker, do you put that anywhere on your website?  I'm not a smoker, but that question has never come up before, either on my end or on the provider's end.

Of course, smoking while you are together should not be allowed, and if he's polite, he won't smoke for a while before he sees you so that he doesn't reek of smoke.

If you haven't seen him yet, just politely tell him that you will not be able to see him, and let it go at that.

We're talking about a business arrangement, not breaking off an engagement. If you don't want to see him, don't see him. Plain and simple. this business is the ultimate "service may be refused to anyone at the owner's sole discretion".

Of course, I con't understand why his marital status should matter either, but in any case you should not see any clients that you don't feel compfotable with...Period
