I've put together a few websites now.  There are a number of free/low cost easy to use sites to use.  Google Apps/Googles Sites is one, and the other is Wordpress.  I've used all of them and I'm happiest with Wordpress.  You can select a pre-fab format, or you can modify it.  Wordpress accepts html which is a good thing.  Anyway.  Let me know if you want more info...
