So I will just preface with this,

I am a virgin and also completely new to the hobby. As such I have no references or any really backing to go on. I also am a very cautious person and tend to keep my information private as I work for a security company and can get paranoid.

I contacted a provider today and everything seemed to be going great. I gave her my name, age and work number and she contacted them and got patched through to my number (I had the day off so no one answered). She was wondering if I was online and I have a facebook so I adjusted the privacy settings so I could be found and sent her the link. I am a student at an out of state college and when she saw that me in the school shirt was my profile pic she questioned it, but everything seemed fine. I sent her a picture of my driver's license and my student ID to prove it was me.

I show up to the appointment and was kept waiting until 30 minutes later then she cancelled on me because she just had a funny feeling. I promise I was not trying to do anything weird and am not LE.

I am now sad as I was really looking forward to meeting her. So I ask of you, is there anything I could have done differently? How can I start the hobby without having references?

Any help so I can avoid this situation in the future would be greatly appreciated.

You may want to join P411 or Date-check - they will ask you for the same info as she did, but, being approved by them will give you a little more credibility.  On P411 you can look for girls who specifically state they are "newbie friendly."

suggests, join a verification service.  Then, search for a well-reviewed lady to see who is newbie friendly.  Relax and enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. I figured she was just being super cautious and not necessarily newbie friendly. O well, hopefully next time will go better.

RoomService2K isn't a bad verification site to join either, and def keep eye out for newbie friendly providers. Keep at it, you'll be ok.
