Well, there are always risks for STD's no matter how careful you are, so worrying about DATY more than other activities is silly to me. I agree that it seems MORE likely than some other things, but I doubt it is substantially riskier than anything else. If you are uncomfortable doing it then just don't do it. It's not a requirement...but it is a lot of fun!
Personally I feel that if you stick with quality providors that care about their health then you should be okay. Most guys around here love to DATY. As long as you understand that the risk is there and are careful, I wouldn't worry too much. If you want real advice, I would ask a local doctor.
I am new to the hobby and have noticed many people saying that they regularly do daty. I have been under the impression that this is generally risky due to STD's. YES?? NO?? i am always anxious to please but have not done daty for concerns..... i have heard of dental dams but do not know about them.
