Excellent point.  And, of course, there are prepaid phones (or Sim cards).  Those who are NOT tech-savvy may want to be aware that:
1. Phone calls ARE listed on your monthly bills.
2. It's easy to get a prepaid phone number (refilled with cash) at any major carrier's store

I know that this kind of post is rather stupid since so many people are VIP's that frequent this board but as a first time noob VIP I have to say that I was lurking much longer than I could have been.  Why?  Well, most of us lurkers and basic members can tend to be a bit skittish when it comes to using the internet to pay for goods and services.  Being that I'm 41 and lived in the days of mail orders and checks, I still find myself hesitating when it comes to plopping down money when I really don't know how it works. Especially over the internet.

Let me give you an example, I frequented the pay area with CCBill a number of times but was unsure how long it would take to go from BASIC---->VIP. I saw a place to put my name and email address but at the header I didn't see anything that showed that it may link back to my TER account so figured there would be a lag to get the actual upgraded account.

WRONG.  I was immediately upgraded and it was a piece of cake.  So why am I writing this?  To let any other lurkers or basic members know that it really is a painless procedure to just UPGRADE.  I found that the added information on reviews is indispensable and give you a better idea of what you're looking at.  Even some reviews that I thought were "ok" reviews (using the basic read) were not so good when you got to the details.

UPGRADE NOW and to all you VIP members and Providers HELLO. To the providers in Los Angeles specifically: I hope to see you soon!

I did the same thing... easy peasy

I've only seen 2 providers but the reviews were essential in making the choices.

Run out, or when I am too lazy to submit problem reports.
CCBill has always been reliable, and if I recall correctly the transitions were almost instant.

That makes you a kid in this crowd, lol.

For those who are afraid of the wife seeing the credit card bill, the Green Dot (prepaid) cards you can get at WalMart work great.

Do the Green Dot's work specifically on this site?
