I posted a review of a provider last week, and she emailed me yesterday to complain. I've read and re-read the review, and for the most part it's accurate. What I described happened, which was for the most part good, with a couple of things that were a little disappointing.
There were a couple of things I said that were opinions or conjecture, and that weren't flattering to the lady. In fairness to her, I think I should remove them. I don't see an edit option, though. Is there one?
The provider was really upset, as she has a lot of good reviews.
However, on occassion, TER has allowed me to edit a published review because I mentioned something that the gal didn't want other guys to know about, YMMV type of thing.
In any case, go and contact TER and ask them if you can edit the review.
You can also try the tack of writing an entirely new review, which will replace the earlier one. Normally that is only done many months or years after the first review, but you can always give it a shot.
So, after she complains you think you might have made a mistake and are willing to change you review. I can understand that. What I find really disturbing is the fact that you chose to ask your question on a public forum where it will be seen by everyone who frequents this forum.
Everyone who is a VIP can click on your 1 review and see who you are talking about. Seems to me like you are paying lip service to the "fairness" and are instead broadcasting so that you damage her reputation as much as you can.
Next time maybe you should use the "Contact Us" button to ask a question about how to correct a mistake. Then it won't bring public attention to either you or the unfortunate lady.
She has 189 reviews, and several other 7-6 scores and even at least one 6-6. Seems like she runs hot and cold, a real YMMV type lady, IMHO. I agree with you sphinxnc about removing the post. I think it was not necessary to make it so easy to determine who the lady in question was. Something like this should have been posted with an alias.
OP, since you are not the only reviewer who has rated her as you did, I would see no reason to edit the review, unless you are really worried about her bashing you in the providers' forum or somewhere else.
