LOL, I rode the Catch22 highway, too, and the guys are right.  Eventually, someone will review.

I've noticed about TER, though, that reviews are hard to come by here.  I haven't had any since my first two... so yeah.  Just be patient.  They'll come.

So I'm a new provider (fbsm) and although I do work with an agency, I still advertise all over the place for myself.  I have profiles, accounts, and ads on various sites, so I can get myself out there and be seen.

So the problem?  I have learned that many hobbyists will only see providers with reviews, and many will only see a provider with "X" amount of reviews, to be "safe" (ensuring a pleasurable experience).

I've asked a few of my clients for reviews (in a non-threatening, un-pushy way, of course), but nothing yet (even though they raved about whatever I was doing when I was doing it).  A lot of my clients are new to hobby and haven't even heard of TER, SDASP, etc - so they probably aren't going to be writing reviews any time soon.

If I don't have reviews, then I am less likely to get booked AND if I don't get booked, then I can't get a review - my catch 22.

When does it end?

As a hobbyist, I'm not the best person to answer, (providers, can you chime in here?) but I think if you give great service and ask said client to leave a review, then eventually you'll get there.

If the people you are seeing are new, they may not want to wade through all of the BS it takes to get the first review posted on TER. Although after the first one, the rest are a breeze.

Keep watching your local board on TER for gents that are looking for something in your area.  If you can schedule a session with someone that's already TER savy, and has written some reviews, then toward the end of the session you can mention that you don't have any TER reviews and would sure like to have someone write one.

I've had a girl hint that she wanted me to write a review - and I did.

Just make sure you ask someone that you are pretty sure really enjoyed his time with you - the last thing you want is a first review that isn't good.

Welcome aboard and good luck.

You are right, most TER members recommend "well reviewed" ladies for newbies.
Do Newbies follow the well reviewed providers advise always?  NO
TER can choose to not publish New Provider reviews by Newbie Members...  So might not be published anyway.
Do experienced TER members, see non- or less- rviewed providers? YES
Do all experienced TER members write reviews? unfortunately, NO

My suggestion:  Participate on the TER boards.  Advertize once a week on your local TER board & participate there as well.  Sometimes, posting can compliment reviews to increase MY comfort level.  TER members read the boards & are more likely to check you out.

DO put up a web site.  Having a web site does make a big differance to me.  Even a free or low cost template site is ok.  Put the TER banner on it & link to it.
Make it accurate.
Have pictures (guys are very visual) from several angles which is reassuring that photos are real.  I prefer they not be explicit.  Skip the butt shots, they don't help me identify you!  LOL.  If your look changes, change the pictures.  Otherwise maybe annually.
Everything you put there informs me & increases or decreases my comfort level.

It make take some time to establish your business...  but if you provide good service, it'll happen.

that doesn't have any reviews if the hobbyist can develop a comfort level with the lady.  Sometimes this is accomplished by reading her posts, looking at pics she puts up on a regional board with her ad (max once per week), or even talking on the phone.

Yes, I continually post for newbies to only see well-reviewed ladies but I will TOFTT if I have good vibes about a certain lady.

BTW, which came first, the chicken or the egg?

LaylaCherry,
Apparently you tried to post a link...  Was it to your Web Site?...  on your earlier post.  You muct have the TER logo which links back to TER.  There's instructions somewhere on how to do it.  This will help get your message out which is important until you have a profile put up by your first reviewer.  BTW, having access to your site will make that original profile more accurate (height, weight, measurments particularly).
Once you have that first review & profile, correct any mistakes by filing a "problem report".

You only have 2 posts currently.  I'd suggest once a day, log on.  Try to find something you can sensibly write an intelligent reply to.
Ads can only be on your regional board & just one in 7 days...  but that does not prevent you from participating in a discussion thread.
Best Wishes,
skb

I see that my biggest problem is that I do not have my own website.  And I'm not even sure how to et one up.  I tried to post for my availability, because I was running  weekend special, but I wasn't able to include the links that I do have.  I'm on ProviderBlu, SDASP, ProviderReport, and TheListSanDiego - but you have to log in to all of those sites to view the complete profile and all pictures.  You can view my whole profile plus my main profile pic on ProviderBlu without logging in, but you must log in to view all pictures and interact (comment, message, crush, etc.).  The only link I have right now that you don't have to log in to view is my page on my agency's website, but because we advertise for a specific service, I can't use that link either.  And my agency has not been reviewed by TER, so we're not on here at all (although some of the girls I work with are reviewed here, and well, too).  So, making a long story less long.  I need my own website.  I guess that will be another discussion post ....

Thank you guys for all your help!!!

XoXo,
Layla

I think SKB has some great suggestions!

LC,
I am more or less in the same boat with you as far as having no reviews goes, so I completely understand your frustration.
I am grateful for the clients I have had so far, but after a 5 year hiatus to focus on my career, it has been challenging to get my engine running again, hence my joining TER.
To be honest, I have learned quite a bit from hobbyists here on the discussion boards about what makes them tick and why, so that has been incredibly helpful.
I know there are hobbyists who won't see you until you have 10 or 15 reviews, but I think for the most part they enjoy helping if they can, so keep that chin up and keep the questions coming.

I have to admit, I was extremely disappointed to find out that "New" Hobbyists posting reviews for "New" providers sometimes don't make it to the review section.
I recently asked one of my loyal clients who I feel comfortable with, to post a review for me on TER. He did, but I still have yet to see it.

There is no simple answer. All you can do is hang tough, ride the wave and ask for the help and support of those around you here.

Cheers,
SF

This came about because some providers wrote their own (fake) reviews or guys who had a stake in it (pimps, bookers, BFs).  Actually a lot of first reviews still do not resemble later ones, so the system is still not perfect.  Anyway this is what brought the change in policy.

While we discussing it, clients may not write reviews from the provider's computers or ISP address.  It can get you & him banned for life.

Guys are amazingly brave & will see new ladies if they get enough information.  How many reviews, board postings, web sites does it take?  That does & will always vary.

It's the Newbies that do better with well reviewed providers.  A rip-off or 2 & they give it up as a bad deal...  so everyone loses them as a client.  Guys who succeed, come back for more, try new ladies.  I DO NOT tell them to forget about some Hottie who's caught their eye...  I tell them to save them on their bucket list & circle back when they are ready.

Best Wishes,
skb
