Question about protocol.. I'm getting a cold...

I have an multi hour appt set up with a very well reviewed provider... She asked for a deposit... OK.. Fine, I'm not worried..she has a great reputation.. The appt is in 4 days.. I have booked enough hours so we won't have to rush.. but the cost will be in the 4 figures.. OK, so I sent my deposit and on a whim thought.. what the hell.. I'll send it all.. why not..
Now I am 4 days out from probably my most looked forward to date I have ever had... I usually am a $250 to $300 for an hour guy..
Now.. I am getting sniffles.. I am drinking juice.. took the afternoon off ofwork to rest up and doing everything I can to avoid being a mess.. Plus, I am aware that I don't want to get her sick either...so now what about my payment (up front..)? rain check? , wait to see how I feel when the big day rolls around (and I may be all better)?.. ask for a refund (I'm not inclined to do that)?.. what? need some guidance..
Thanks..

Every provider has a deposit policy either listed on her site or maybe she sent it to you via email or mentioned something.
Either way, due to sickness I so think that she will appreciate the courtesy of you letting her know, I don't see a problem with rescheduling but the sooner you tell her the better so arrangements can be made for a new date. FYI usually deposits are non refundable.

...that was not required, as part of your deposit.

My cancellation policy is clearly spelled out on my website.  If, however, a gentleman reserves multi hours (three or more) with a deposit, he forfeits his deposit should he cancel at any time.

My website also explains to gentlemen how to proceed if they have a cold.

The other option would be to reschedule, and have your date be paid in full.

You might also contact her, explain your dilemma, and let her offer a few options.

   Good luck and feel better!

Hugs and Kisses,
Kelly

AS expected and completely reasonable.. I am not guaranteed that I will be sick... Just the start of possibility now (maybe the dry winter air?) who knows.. I won't risk her health either as she has bills to pay and I want to have a good time anyway

days. I would cancel now and try to re-schedule for about 10-14 days out to be sure you are feeling much better.

She should respect your decision...  make clear you are not backing out...   reschedule when you  are sure you are over it.
