What is that all about?

The providers usually don't even know about it, and they don't get the money.  There have been lots of threads about this in the past year, including this one on the GD board just yesterday:

Yes, I read the discussion on the GD board but where does it occur as a TER VIP feature?

It's a feature of many of the cookie cutter websites. When you click to see the photo gallery, it says VIP only. They want you to sign up for their VIP with your credit card in order to see the photos. It has nothing to do with TER.

and without people to put out the word, sometimes by the time you are no longer confused you have already been separated from your money.

That's just one of the many reasons for this board to exist, to share information and keep each other safe from scams like this one and others.

P411 is no longer allowing providers to use the free site version that solicits guys to buy VIP status to see more pics.
