once their membership is linked to their reviews, TER banner displayed & all that tech stuff.  So a TER reviewed provider can read PMs.

How can I tell if a Reviewer is for real?  Let's say Mr. Fake looks up TER and finds that BeeFEater500 or The Lucky Saint has posted tons of reviews.  Mr. Fake then calls or emails me and tells me he is BeeFEater500 or The Lucky Saint, how do I know he is not who he says he is? I might think, this guy is cool, he is Whitelisted and then bang find out he is LE.

Ask him to send you a PM from his account.

Surely someone with that many reviews has VIP. So you could ask them to send you a PM. This will show you they are the same person.

Absolutely.  After making contact, I sent a brief confirmation message from my review handle to prosective dates, stating posting handle, my e-mail & phone number to tie my messages together as part of the screening process.  All these events worked out perfectly.

No for real though...anyone can say they are someone else. Unless they have the password to the account, there is no way around it.

Have them send you a PM to confirm that the TER handle belongs to them.

I have had this happen before. He said he was so & so, which had a ton of reviews and a couple of whitelist refferals. But when I asked him to confirm this....well I never heard back from him. lol

What difference does it make?  Are you saying that you would see a guy based only on his TER handle and no other verification? Not a very good idea.

I've had a couple of appointments arranged purely through TER contact.  As far as I know, the providers did not screen me any other way - and they were well established providers.  They may have contacted some of the other ladies that I reviewed, but I don't know.

I guess every provider has her own methods of screening.

BTW, to the OP, also keep in mind that you will have to be VIP here in order to receive and read the PMs that you might ask the guy to send.

No, I will not see a guy based only on his ter handle.  I am trying to get my first review.  A gent called and said he was a TER reviewer.  I agreed to give him a small discount if he would write a review.  It ended up he got a discount and had never written a review.  So, I am trying to learn.

I thought we are not allowed to give discounts or make offers for reviews?

Please, if I am wrong tell me.

Take you for example.  With 46 reviews behind you and a significant history here it is pretty much a given that if you prove to a lady that you are who she would be meeting with, she can feel pretty comfortable that you won't be putting any handcuffs on her (well, not in a bad way).

IF I were a provider I'd book you.  Did that sound creepy?  LOL

I was just answering the question on how to know if the handle belonged to the person saying it was his.

Do NOT just rely on a TER handle to screen. I should have said that before.

Maybe you should just ask your clients to post a review. Someone, sooner or later will. The first time someone reviewed me, I didn't know a thing about TER. If someone calls you from TER, and you don't have a review, question should be, how did they get your number,(I always ask) unless it was just an ad placed. As far as I can tell, most hobbyiest place reviews. I, myself, am pleased when someone from TER calls, and give them a little extra something, for no charge, but thats as far as it goes. They know they can review, but I don't ask them. (lol maybe I should) I feel uncomfortable asking someone to review me. If they liked their time with me, then they will.

just my opnion.
