what exactly does "newbie friendly" mean?

as a provider would you book a new client based solely on the recommendation of an existing one

But you had better be prepared to offer a lot of personal information and/or join a screening service

It doesn't mean they are not going to accept a recommendation from an existing client -- that might be a start. They will still do some screening but will wave the requirement of a reference from another provider.

They will also be much more assuring and work to settle your nerves if that is a problem. They will also likely be willing to help teach you some of the ropes so when you start seeing other providers they don't want to throw you out.

I am newbie friendly. This means that I will see gentlemen that don't have provider referenes but provide adequate information for my screening process. I think on average this is the same meaning for the terminology as far as most providers are concerned.

Are you looking to have someone show you the ropes ... so to speak? ;)

As a newbie friendly provider...I have my own way to get to the point of meeting or not.  Be ready to be open...we all had to start somewhere is my thing.

The provider is willing to do their own screening in Lieu of an actual reference.

It very rarely happens that one client recommends another one. I would be happy to see a friend of a client, however they are still newbies and likely to back out at the last minute. Especially if it was not their idea to seek out a provider in the first place.

I am a newbie, but say no...On the other hand, if provider gave recommendation, I wouldn't hesitate.....and I guess It all depends on how well you trust this person.

Depends on how well you know this person.   As I posted earlier, (but Mods haven't approved yet) I have friends that ive known for 30+ years, that I wouldn't trust babysitting my daughter.

It would depend on which existing client provides the recommendation. If it's one of my regulars that I know extremely well and trust the opinion of, it would definitely help. If it's a client that I have seen once, not so much.
Either way, some level of screening will still be required. That's just my process and what I feel comfortable with.
