Privuders Changing Prices

I've only been at this for a few months. But I notice some providers on a daily basis change their donations a lot. One day it could be 120.00 for a 30min session then a few days later it's 150.00, then back to 120.00

When I ask how come you changed your prices, some give severeal different reasons, from that was just a speical for that day, it was a slow day, they were testing those prices, to a few other reasons.

As a client, I would just prefer providers keep to the prices the same, and not change them some much. I just think it could create drama

That's not unusual.  In early 2009 my prices went up and down all the time. I never mentioned the change in prices to returning clients so they paid what they were used to paying.  If my price had dropped since they started seeing me, and they had checked the website, I would have honored the lower amount.  But no one did.

It's really tough sometimes to find the right numbers for the market, what kind of marketing you're doing, etc.  And there are issues that come up.  When you charge $$ and you have a string of clients with considerable means, who offer references in the $$$$ price range, you try to up the price for new clients and see if it flys.  Or you get a string of really awful hagglers and start to doubt yourself and drop the rates and see if you get more appts.  We're people, not department stores.
