After one post to a board how long does it take before it shows up.Being that im in the est zone and i think that you are in pt zone.and we are three hours differant. is there someone working this area all the time?
speaking for myself, (I am in the Northeast) I generally check the board by 9:30 AM (eastern) every day. Some days, I don't check the board after 8:00 PM. Between these hours, I check back often. There is a disclaimer on the screen that appears after a moderated person posts advising that it may take up to 24 hours for your post to appear. I assume that waiting 24 hours for a post to appear on TER is very rare.
Keep in mind, sometimes your post does not appear because it is rejected by the moderator for a number of reasons. Moderators may also, at their discretion, send your post to another TER discussion board if they feel that your post is not appropriate for that board. For instance, if you post on this board (Newbie) asking about a specific region of the country, I almost always send that post to the appropriate regional board.
On my boards (Porn Stars, LasVegas and Phoenix) I always check them in the morning before going to work and immediately after coming home from work. Some days I am able to check them at work as well. During the evening I usually log in multiple times while doing other searching. So the longest a post normally takes is 8 hours. There are of course exceptions at certain times.
Be aware that most of the Moderators are running more than one board and it takes time to get through them all. I am running three and I believe Thirsty is running 5. Girl Next Door is in charge of Modertors and runs all the boards not assigned to other Moderators. She probably runs 8 or more boards. Our job is unpaid and we are only compensated with a free TER membership. So if your posts take a little while to get to the board, there is probably a good reason. Please be patient.
