Longtime lurker, first time poster.

I've been in the hobby globally for well over a decade, but have only occasionally dipped my toes in the waters here, preferring to limit my posting activity for discretion's sake.  I've been able to muster up a plat status on DC over the years, and with some pending changes in work travel, I will likely be resuming my quiet enjoyment of the hobby.

Given that my verifications are stale, I anticipate that I will be embarking on a round of visits shortly, with an eye towards getting whitelisted here and facilitating verification elsewhere.

I may be looking for some pointers from board vets, especially those LA, SF, LV, and PHX based, about how to join the community here in a seamless fashion, and appreciate your patience as I learn the board ropes.
