is a service to the community. Thankyou. "An agency owner" should thank you also. His providers should thank you. It may be inconvenient in the short term but much less so than getting caught up in a sting.
If a particular LE agency is cracking down, then all of the above would want to know... maybe find rooms outside that jurisdiction. Just be as sure as possible of the facts & not be alarmist. Post what you really know & let others decide how to deal with the issue.

So I posted on my local board (under an alias) at the request of a provider friend that there was a sting occurring in the area she works out of. She knew someone who got busted but did bot want to post herself or me to post under my handle because it might lead to back to her and people thinking she got busted. I posted the cops MO, local phone #, staying at a local hotel, not verifiable, I then mentioned the county, and the town the sting was in as well. Was I wrong? I was called out by an agency minutes later for posting such information and scaring people needlessly with out a source. I promised my source i would keep her name out of it and refused to post with my real handle because of this. At least somebody in the community saw the post and called this agency owner and told him this was happening and i was telling the truth. Is their a better way to handle this. I feel attacked personally for trying to warn people simply because his agency happened to be in the same area. He did re post that he had heard from a credible source i was telling the truth. what do I do different
over the safety of the community at large is not a person whose opinion would matter to me.
IMO without knowing all the details, you appear to have done nothing wrong and your community, and this agency owner should owe you a debt of gratitude.
His orifice and keyboard before the brain kicks in. Your post was fine. Any LE post should be made with an alias. There are multiple reasons why, and yours was legit. I would not take it personally.
Thank you for posting the warning. Hopefully some were saved from the claws of LE.
Getting a subpoena is a hassle, especially in the case of TER whose servers are off shore.
But more of concern is whether or not alerting people that LE activity is taking place.
It would seem to me that if this were illegal, it would put a lot of newspapers out of business because they report on LE activity all the time, often with the blessing of LE.
