You need to ask the Moderator of that board (Girl Next Door). It may be that she considered your post more of an ad. Providers are only allowed to place ad posts on the regional discussion boards.
Take a look at TER's Provider Posting Guidelines if you haven't done so already. You'll find a link to the guidelines by scrolling down the first page of this board.
You're not in trouble. Thirsty is correct--I generally do not approve introduction-type messages on the National Board. Ads are not allowed there, so we prefer you jump in and contribute to a discussion, as you then did. I look forward to seeing you on the boards!
Girl Next Door Moderator, National Discussion Board
Thanks for the repplies, I was just trying to copy this post on 9/11 from another provider introducing herself, see link below, thought it would be ok...
I have sooo many questions, but will start a new post.
although GND is 99 44/100% perfect! Sometimes posts slip through. The moderator of each board sees a list of all posts submitted to the board by members who are in moderated status. This other poster may have been unmoderated so GND didn't see the post. That's why GND qualified her explanation to you by saying "generally".
Everyone starts on moderated status. It means that the messages that you submit to any TER discussion board must be approved before they are added to the discussion. Once a moderator is comfortable with your posting style, he or she may change your status to unmoderated. Once unmoderated, your message posts are immediately added to TER discussion boards. A poster who is unmoderated can always be switched back to moderated status if they violate TER posting rules.
There is no set rule to how long a poster is on moderated status. For me personally, I only unmoderate people who post on the Boston board. I see their post more often so I know who is more likely to conform to the TER posting rules. I don't unmoderate people on other boards because I feel that should be left up to the moderator of the regional board where the poster posts most often. I also wait to unmoderate Providers until I'm sure that they conform to TER's Provider Posting Guidelines.
